  • RESULTS ONLY WORK ENVIRONMENT (ROWE): Edmunds operates as a Results Oriented Work Environment (a ROWE). In a ROWE, employees work whenever they want and wherever they want and we’re focused on delivering results, not face time. Every employee is treated like an adult and allowed to make their own decisions about what they need to do to deliver those great results- so all meetings are optional and team members have a remarkable level of flexibility and freedom. Year after year, ROWE is a top driver of employee satisfaction because it allows every team member to design and create their own work-life balance.
  • OUR EDQUARTERS AWARD-WINNING WORKSPACE: Edmunds’ award-winning headquarters features a pair of Corvettes suspended above the Reception desk, a mural made out of 2500 Matchbox cars, a slide from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor for employees in a hurry, and two giant fish tanks. The office features amenities including free breakfasts and lunches, an onsite frozen yogurt bar, popcorn machine and beer tap, a game room with interactive attractions for employees and their families, an outdoor wi-fi enabled courtyard with hammocks, and a variety of casual environments that make it so our employees look forward to coming into the office. Nearby daycare, gym, and free bicycles provide additional features that make it easy to spend the day at the office.
  • TRIPCA$H- ANNUAL VACATION SUBSIDY: Our team members are committed to their work and so our workforce was becoming“all work and no play." So, Edmunds instituted TripCa$h. Team members receive a $500 annual subsidy for vacation adventures. The only requirements are 1) you have to vacation on a day that you would have been otherwise working (i.e. a weekday) and 2) you have to submit a photo of yourself on the vacation. Employees have used TripCa$h to travel around the world with family and friends going as far as Tokyo, Morocco, Australia, Amsterdam, and Italy. They've sent back photos petting tigers in Phuket, doing acro-yoga at the Eiffel Tower, and touring Temples in Bali. Sharing the photos on the TripCa$h wall in our office brings us all closer together.
  • EXTENDED PARENTAL LEAVE POLICY: Edmunds is a family company and we support families with a generous Parental Leave Policy. New Moms receive six months parental leave with an additional one month ramping down period before they give birth and a one month ramping up period when they return to help them adjust to the changes in their lives. New Dads receive two months off when their new baby is born. The policy applies equally to parents adopting a child, same sex couples, and alternative families. Combined with our ROWE environment, Edmunds is a great place to work for people who believe that family is an integral part of a happy life.
  • FUEL YOUR POTENTIAL (PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS): All employees participate in Fuel Your Potential, an ongoing program designed to provide personal and professional development opportunities. Through workshops, interactive sessions, teachbacks and talkbacks, everyone has a regular schedule of development opportunities. Special events like our weeklong Summer Camp encourage employees to set aside work for a week to focus on growth. Our unique development programs have been featured in Forbes Magazine, ComputerWorld, and NBC News.
  • EDMUNDS RECOGNITION PROGRAMS: Recognition and Rewards are an integral part of the Edmunds community. Twice a year 3 employees are selected to receive the V12 Award (for top performers) and 3 Managers receive the Pave The Road Award (Top managers). Employees can access Bonusly, an online peer recognition program, where spot awards and microbonuses between $1 and $500 are awarded daily. When a Bonusly award is given, it is accompanied by a sentence explaining why they’re being recognized and these remarks are shared on screens in the office. For the past several years, all employees have also received an annual 5% discretionary cash bonus reflecting the positive growth and performance of the business.
  • HACKATHONS AND TEAM CHALLENGES: Throughout the year, employees participate in regular hackathons where they’re assigned to a team, provided with problem sets and asked to solve them within a defined time frame. Winning teams receive prizes usually between $1000 and $10,000. CarCode, Edmunds’ signature texting platform, was developed in a 2014 Hackathon and has become a transformative product for the industry. Recent hackathons focused on blockchain and mobile technology.
  • FITCA$H: Edmunds is committed to encouraging good health and provides support through a variety of programs under the umbrella of FitCa$h. We provide subsidized gym memberships, support employees’ participation in marathons and other physical challenges, and we provide resources so employees can learn more about healthy eating, nutrition, and exercise. The company engages in regular Steps Challenges throughout the year and the competitive element drives company-wide participation. We also offer onsite yoga, meditation, and massage.
  • PHILANTHROPIC EFFORTS/ HEARTCA$H: Edmunds supports employees’ philanthropic efforts and encourages participation in charitable activities. We maintain partnerships with the Ocean Park Community Center (providing resources for the homeless) as well as several local schools. Edmunds sponsors “Pursue Your Passion,” a day where we provide resources and activities designed to encourage employees to get involved in their local community. At Edmunds, we look for individuals who fit into our unique collaborative culture. In the past we’ve found that people who are curious, focused, hard-working, and committed to success thrive at Edmunds and typically have long tenures with the company.  

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

We’re looking for candidates who are smart, talented, curious and unafraid- willing to put your ego in the trunk and let new ideas speed us forward, together. If you have the drive, hop in and hit the gas.
