Perks and Programs

We asked Yext to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Seamless Program: This robust system allows Yexters to order whatever their palate desires twice a day for $17 per meal! By aggregating restaurant options in the local area, this platform permits each employee to order meals from their favorite hot spots. Forget cuisine compromises and imagine a place where whatever you crave is just one click away.
  • Fond Program: As we continue to expand our office locations, we want all of our employees to enjoy local discounts that enhance their lifestyles. Through our perk platform, Fond, Yexters can experience substantial discounts on goods and services such as telecom packages, gym memberships, child and pet care, and high-end retail. With a nearly 95% participation rate, this wildly popular benefit leads to significant cost savings for the bulk of our workforce.
  • Paid Parental Leave: As an organization, we embrace parenthood and show our support by offering new parents up to two months paid leave. We encourage our Yexters to focus 100% of their energy and attention on their families during such an important moment in their lives. This program also includes "baby bucks," a bonus from Yext for new parents to help with any and all costs affiliated with their newborn. Icing on the cake includes an adorable Yext branded onesie package sent to the home of all new parents just days following the introduction of their new child.
  • Employee Resource Groups: At Yext, we recognize that fostering both a diverse and inclusive workplace is fundamental to the long-term success of our organization. Our Diversity and Inclusion program, dubbed Intersect, is comprised of the following ERG groups: Empower (Women), Embrace (Employees of Color), Express (LGBTQ), and Equip (Employees with Disabilities). These groups are led and driven by our passionate employees and sponsored by a member of our Executive team. Each ERG group operates under a crafted business plan which include initiatives to attract great talent, develop our employees internally, and work within our community.
  • Holistic Wellness Program: Keeping Yexters healthy and stress-free is our top priority. Therefore we offer an array of wellness initiatives throughout the year that include gym reimbursements, fun photo contests to showcase our healthy lifestyles, on-site yoga sessions, biometric screenings, flu shots, and massages! The HR Team also partners with different departments to facilitate wellness challenges tailored to their own personal preferences and style.
  • Employee Recognition Program: We pride ourselves on recognizing top talent with outstanding reward programs. But since we know that not all talent is created equally, we tailor our recognition programs to support the preferences of each team. As an example, our Revenue Department awards its top ten sellers, along with their plus ones, to an all expense paid tropical vacation each year. Our Operations and Marketing teams prefer to survey their entire team every quarter and award the top winners with customized company swag, gift certificates, and engraved trophies.
  • Community Outreach: We believe in empowering all Yexters to pursue their own volunteering interests. Through a unique partnership with NYCares, our employees participate in semi-annual company-wide volunteering events, as well as access the NYCares online portal. Via this platform, Yexters can volunteer for causes close to their heart and aligned with their schedules.
  • Flexible Time Off: At Yext, we trust our people to find a rhythm that works in sync with their health, happiness, and workflow. This is why we do not set limits around maximum vacation days and more than encourage R&R!
  • Unofficial Celebratory Days: From National Donut Day to the sporadic Taco Tuesday, we never miss an opportunity to have fun, socialize, and indulge in some tasty treats. Once per month, we surprise our Yexters with an unexpected celebratory event. Our recent highlight reel includes pie on Pi Day (3/14) and Shamrock Shakes on St. Patrick’s Day!
  • Yext Going Green: Our Employees are extremely conscious of their carbon footprint and the company's impact on our local environment. For example, this year, Yexters self-organized to host an entire week of eco-friendly initiatives, which included an essay contest, social media going green posts, and a recycling competition. The results of the program led to heightened awareness, creative ways to reducing our carbon footprint, and some fantastic cross-functional engagement.

How to Get Hired

We asked Yext for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

At Yext, we believe a recipe for success is aligning our talent with our company goals. Therefore, we’ve identified the below characteristics under each core value:

Learn Fast: individuals who focus on trying new things, take the initiative, learn from mistakes, incorporate feedback into their behavior, demonstrate knowledge and expertise, and develop new skills and abilities.

Think Big: individuals who set ambitious objectives and goals, set high standards for themselves, make smart and timely decisions, go above and beyond what's expected, act as thought leaders on team, work well cross-functionally, and are approachable and collaborative.

Get Stuff Done: individuals who are proactive, prioritize efficiently, communicate effectively, deliver quality results, are highly organized, build trust and accountability, and are adaptable to change.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

At Yext, we love technology.  We want individuals who are not only passionate about the space but also passionate about our mission, putting perfect location information in every hand to help people go places.  By providing professional marketers with a platform where they can manage all of their geodata and content across the internet, we are empowering businesses and connecting them with their customers.  In turn, we help drive customers from their laptops or mobile devices and get them where they need to be.  We want to hire individuals who get excited about this.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We are hiring for all of our departments; however, we will be focusing the majority of our efforts on Revenue (Sales / Services) and Technology (Software Engineering / Product) which will include leadership and individual contributor roles.  We will be scaling our workforce both in the US and international markets to take advantage of all the exciting opportunities in the digital knowledge landscape.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?

Please head to our careers website for opportunities and instructions on how to apply: www.yext.com/careers.

The fastest way to join our team is to network with our employees. We believe that referrals make the best hires because we value the opinion and advice of our people. Due to the competitive hiring environment, it is critical that every Yext employee play a role in hiring. Our employee referral program (ERP) is the easiest way we do this. The purpose of the ERP is to recruit high quality talent into hard-to-fill, mission critical, and highly competitive positions. Recruiting great talent is important for Yext’s continued growth and success. The employee referral program is intended to bring in the best possible talent for Yext.
