Perks and Programs

We asked Yext to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Seamless Program: This robust system allows all Yexters to order whatever their palettes’ desire twice a day! By aggregating restaurant options in the local area, Seamless permits each employee to order meals from their favorite hot spots. Forget cuisine compromises and imagine a place where whatever you crave is just a click of a button away.
  • AnyPerk Program: As we continue to expand our office locations, we want all of our employees to enjoy local discounts on things that complement their lifestyles. Through our perk platform, AnyPerk, Yexters can experience substantial discounts on goods and services such as telecom packages, gym memberships, child and pet care, and high-end retail. With a nearly 95% participation rate, this wildly popular benefit leads to significant cost savings for the bulk of our workforce.
  • Paid Parental Leave: As an organization, we embrace parenthood and show our support by offering all new parents up to two months paid leave. We encourage Yexters to focus 100% of their energy and attention on their families during such an important moment in their lives. This program also includes "baby bucks," a bonus from Yext for new parents to help with any and all costs affiliated with their newborn. Icing on the cake includes an adorable Yext branded onesie package sent to the home of all new parents just days following the birth of their new child.
  • Wholistic Wellness Program: Keeping Yexters healthy and stress-free is our top priority. Therefore we offer an array of wellness initiatives throughout the year that includes gym reimbursements, healthy photo contests, on-site yoga, biometric screening, flu shots, and massages! The HR Team also partners with different departments to facilitate wellness challenges tailored to their own personal preferences and styles.
  • Employee Recognition Programs: We pride ourselves on recognizing top talent with outstanding reward programs. And we tailor our recognition programs to support the preferences of each team. Our Revenue Department, for example, treats its top six sellers (and their plus ones) to an all-expense-paid tropical vacation each year. Our Operations Team runs a quarterly peer nomination-based recognition program that awards the top four winners with customized company swag, gift certificates, and engraved trophies.
  • Community Outreach: We believe in empowering all Yexters to pursue their own volunteering interests. Through a unique partnership with NYCares, the largest aggregator of local volunteering events in NYC, we bring initial training on-site to assure that every employee has the baseline credentials to get started. Post training, employees are then able to participate in the semi-annual company-wide volunteering events, as well as access to the NYCares online portal. Via this platform, Yexters can volunteer for causes close to their heart and aligned with their schedules.
  • Flexible Time Off: At Yext, we trust our people to take time away from the office whenever they need it. Unlike most companies, we do not set limits around days off, rather, we encourage Yexters to find a rhythm that works in sync with their health, happiness, and workflow.
  • Unofficial Celebratory Days: From National Donut Day to the sporadic Taco Tuesday, we never miss an opportunity to have fun, socialize, and indulge in some tasty treats. Once a month we surprise our Yexters with an unexpected celebratory event. Our recent highlight reel includes mini pies for 3/14 and the renting out of an entire NYC theater for a screening of the newest Star Wars movie!
  • Yext Going Green: Our Employees are extremely conscious of their carbon footprint and the company's impact on our local environment. This year, Yexters self-organized to host an entire week of eco-friendly initiatives, which included an essay contest, social media going green posts, and a recycling competition. The top four contestants dueled it out over a riveting rock, paper, scissors tournament in front of the entire company. The results of the program lead to heightened awareness, creative ways to reduce our carbon footprint, and some fantastic cross-functional engagement.
  • World Class Office Space: From our HQ location in the heart of the Flatiron district in NYC, to our Europe office nestled in central London, Yext considers prime real-estate essential to attracting the world’s best talent. Within our own walls, we house an array of fantastic custom features which include nap pods for relaxation, telecommuting roaming robots for remote employees, video games and ping-pong tables for friendly competition, and hover crafts for easy transportation.

How to Get Hired

We asked Yext for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

At Yext, we believe a recipe for success is aligning our talent with our company goals. Therefore, we’ve identified the below characteristics under each core value.  Learn Fast: individuals who focus on trying new things, take the initiative, learn from mistakes, incorporate feedback into their behavior, demonstrate knowledge and expertise, and develop new skills and abilities. Think Big: individuals who set ambitious objectives and goals, set high standards for themselves, make smart and timely decisions, go above and beyond what's expected, act as thought leaders on team, work well cross-functionally, and are approachable and collaborative. Get Stuff Done: individuals who are proactive, prioritize efficiently, communicate effectively, deliver quality results, are highly organized, build trust and accountability, and are adaptable to change.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

At Yext, we love technology. We want individuals who are not only passionate about the space but also passionate about our mission, putting perfect location information in every hand to help people Go Places. By providing professional marketers with a platform where they can manage all of their geodata and content across the web, we are empowering businesses and connecting them with their customers. In turn, we help drive consumers from their growing number of digital devices and get them where they need to be. We want to hire individuals who get excited about contributing to our mission.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We are hiring across the board, but consistently focusing our efforts on Revenue, Technology, and Product—which includes leadership and individual contributor roles across Sales in Enterprise, Partner and Small Business divisions, and Software Engineers and Product Managers of varying levels.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?

Please head to our careers website for opportunities and instructions on how to apply: The fastest way to join our team is to network with our employees. We believe that referrals make the best hires because we value the opinion and advice of our people. Due to the competitive hiring environment, it is critical that every Yext employee play a role in hiring. Our employee referral program (ERP) is the easiest way we do this. The purpose of the ERP is to recruit high quality talent into hard-to-fill, mission critical, and highly competitive positions. Recruiting great talent is important for Yext’s continued growth and success. The employee referral program is intended to bring in the best possible talent for Yext.
