Perks and Programs

We asked World Wide Technology, Inc. to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Onsite Family Health Center: WWT knows the importance of offering good health benefits, and the value of being concerned with the overall health and wellness of our employees and others covered by our health plan. Because of these things, WWT has decided to offer employees and families access to two on-site health centers. Our Family Health Centers are managed by Mercy, one of the top 5 large U.S. Health systems with over 700 Physicians, and a strong corporate health presence in the St Louis area.
  • Tread-desk Workstation: Tread-desk workstations have been established on campus to give employees the opportunity to exercise while working. The desks can be reserved through an Outlook appointment and they’re in high-demand. Employees that take advantage of this perk say that they feel better moving a little throughout the day and get more accomplished. It’s a great way to incorporate wellness into the workday and increase overall productivity.
  • Day of Caring: There’s a culture of caring throughout World Wide Technology. This culture continues to spread as we hire new employees who reflect our Core Values and want to do good things for others. WWT's Day of Caring program provides employees with an extra paid day off to spend time at their favorite charitable organizations.
  • Telecommuting: Feedback from our company-wide employee opinion survey showed the desire of employees to be able to work from home on a regular basis. The Executive Management Team listened. Shortly after, WWT implemented a telecommuting policy that allowed employees, depending on their job functions, to work from home 1-3 days per week. Access to advanced technology and systems made this an easy transition for the company. This benefit has allowed the organization to scale and handle global expansion while limiting the number of facilities necessary to house employees. Plus, eliminating a morning and evening commute from an employee’s day allows them to spend more time with their families ultimately enhancing work-life balance. This benefit has been very well received among employees since its inception.
  • Cultural Awareness Program: To educate our employees on how to embrace and manage diversity and inclusion, our Vice President of Global Supply Chain, presents workshops throughout the year on Cultural Awareness and how it impacts the business. During these sessions, employees are encouraged to participate and will learn cultural differences in communication, trust, coaching and having difficult conversations to effectively communicate across the globe. Our presenter covers a range of topics from personal traits to develop, tips for managing time zones, and building trust in different countries. For additional learning, we also offer recommended readings and further training through our learning management system.
  • Global Community Impact Program: The goal of the program is to encourage our employees to get involved and support charities in their community and around the globe. WWT will match all employee donations up to $1,000,000.
  • Wellness Program: At WWT, incorporating fitness is THE PATH WAY of life. We want employees to get active and stay healthy daily to achieve overall health. Every challenge is conducted on a monthly basis and at the end of the month, fitness prizes are awarded to the top three winning participants. We also have opportunities for our employees to participate and try local organized fitness classes - FOR FREE!  Financial wellness educational classes are also provided as a benefit to our employees!
  • Semi-Annual Celebrations: WWT celebrated its 5th year in a row on the Great Place to Work List. Being listed as one of Fortune's Best Place's to Work is truly an honor and we celebrate our employees as a Thank You! Every year we have a different theme to the party and this year we celebrated being on the list for 5 Years in a Row! We offered a t-shirt design contest and allowed employees to vote on the top design. During the party one of the giveaways included the winning designed t-shirt, solo cups as well as the opportunity to donate to WWT's Family Foundation which supports WWT families in need.
  • Perk Spot: WWT employees can enjoy an online discount program called Perk Spot. This is a one-stop-shop exclusive discount program at some of your favorite national and local merchants! Employees can use the Perk Spot to find hundreds of deals on everything from household essentials to once-in-a-lifetime vacations. Perk Spot is mobile optimized, so you can access it at home, from work, or on the go!
  • Women's Leadership Forum: The vision and mission of the Women's Leadership Forum (WLF) is to develop current and future leaders through networking and education. This program is also designed to create an open forum for discussion, encouragement and learning; while providing opportunities for relationship building and mentorship. Through the massive support of the Executive team and the entire organization, the WLF has held a number of successful events! From the Global Sales Meeting where leaders were able to share ideas and support amongst one another at a luncheon; to most recently enjoying a WLF Speed Mentoring session!
