  • Hot Laps Program: Wisetail encourages staff to do 5K & 10K run/bike loops on local trails. Each Hot Lap earns a beverage from a local restaurant. The staff member with the most laps at the end of each month gets a $50 gift card to a local restaurant.

      How to Get Hired

We asked Wisetail for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

The two characteristics we end up talking about most with prospective employees - regardless of role - are a desire to work in the fast-paced tech world and also live in Montana.  If a person has the drive and creativity we need in all roles to continue our success and also wants the outdoor lifestyle and quality of life Montana affords - it's a good sign they'll be a great fit.  We also have our manifesto published on our website so we ask prospective employees how they connect with our mission as written in the manifesto - if they express a passion for how we approach our work that is also a great sign they'll be a great fit.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Authenticity.  We're a diverse group and the scope of roles at Wisetail require wildly different skillsets - but the one common thread is working together toward our shared goals.  Giving us insight into your true passions in work and also personally is the best way to catch our eye.  That being said we have one team member who brought homemade savory scones to her interview and - as we like to eat well - that certainly also made an impact.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

Over the next year we'll be adding new team members in all of our departments (Product Development, Marketing, Sales, and Client Experience).  We keep a balanced structure so we don't anticipate a focus in any one area in the coming year.  We are focused on hiring the same level of talent we have on the team right now who mesh with our culture.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?

Candidates interested in learning more about Wisetail should head to and learn about our culture and our work.  A truly great way to learn about our company is by watching our Meet Wisetail Video series which is made up of one minute videos of all our team members, mini-documentaries all of our individual passions.  Digging deeper into the site you can see how we partner with our clients through our videos and also client success stories.  On our site you can also learn about our connection with the community of Bozeman and Montana at large.  Finally, you can see how we adventure and have fun.
