Perks and Programs

We asked VMS BioMarketing to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Birth and Adoption Award Program: Upon the birth or adoption of a child, an award of one week of pay for each full year of employment is given.
  • Philanthropy Days: VMS employees are given unlimited paid days to contribute their time to their favorite charitable organization.
  • Employee Referral Program: Team members will receive $500 for referring a candidate to VMS who is hired as a regular, full-time employee and then successfully completes 90 days of employment at VMS.
  • Workplace Flexibility: VMS employees may choose a 7-4, 8-5 or 9-6 schedule in order to help with the work/life balance. Additionally, days can be shortened by one half hour by taking a 30-minute versus 60-minute lunch hour. Now you don't really have to be a morning person!
  • Summer Half Days: In addition to a great holiday and paid time off schedule, we all get the itch in the summer. At VMS, between Memorial Day and Labor Day, each employee is given 3 half days to use as they like. Some people combine them and make a mini vacation, and others just see the forecast and sleep in late or cut out early.
  • Happy Hour: VMS has a once a month happy hour. Different departments take turns hosting the happy hour, come up with a theme, and rally the troops for some celebration and camaraderie.

    How to Get Hired

We asked VMS BioMarketing for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

We look for people with a passion for empowering patients, a resilient drive to succeed, and strong alignment with our core values. Individuals whose own personal values resonate with our core values as a company tend to be rock stars for VMS and our clients. Our core values are: make clients look like heroes, have an entrepreneurial spirit, foster superior performance, conduct ourselves ethically, feel accountable to the team, and show grace under pressure. And, of course, in the field, we look for top notch clinicians with an ability to drive our patient empowerment initiative.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

We are always impressed by candidates who have done their homework about our company, our people, and our services. We don’t expect them to know everything, but we appreciate thoughtful questions that show their learning agility and ability to think critically. We also look for people who are good connectors. It’s all a big small town, so candidates can stand out by going on LinkedIn to find which of their connections may also be connected to our team.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

Because we offer customized solutions to our clients, we customize much of our hiring process to finding experts in the field. This may be technology expertise, clinical or disease state expertise, sales, or executive leadership. Our talent needs will continue to evolve as our patient and client customer base does.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?
