Perks and Programs

We asked Verigent, LLC to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • New Hire Training and Welcome Happy Hour: We believe orientation really sets up the employees for success. So each time we hire someone new, we set up a two week long orientation where they learn about their job, other departments, and also participate in company sponsored lunches and a company wide, 'Happy Hour'. 
  • Make A Wish Trail-blaze Challenge: For the past three years, we have participated in the Make-A-Wish Trailblaze challenge. This is a 28 mile hike that raises awareness and funds for the Make-A-Wish Organization. Each year we have had at least three employees participate in the hike. Additionally in the three year span we have raised over $45,000.
  • Spirit Days: Each month, we complete a 'Spirit Day' where there is a theme for the day.  These days foster a positive culture, and offer employees to have some fun, and encourage company camaraderie. Past examples include,  dressing in a themed outfit for Halloween, 4th of July, 90s day, etc. We also have some that include a company sponsored lunch, or chili cook-off, or ice cream social. 
  • Employee Appeciation Week: We take a week to celebrate our employees, with an event each day. This past year it included a Welcome Breakfast, Office Olympics, Motivational speaker, Baby picture contest, and a early release day. This was a great way for employees to feel appreciated, and continue to build relationships with one another
  • Culture Wall: In our kitchen and break room, we have a culture wall, where employees have submitted photos of themselves with co-workers, family, friends that are on display for everyone to see.
  • Kenya Mission Trip: One of our employees goes to Kenya annually to help with building better schools, and offering educational certificate programs for adults in Kenya as well. Verigent helps sponsor the trip with raising money, as well as putting on different fundraising initiatives.
  • Kenya Mission Trip: We have an annual rewards trip for the top performers in each department. Last year, the winners went to Charleston, for a long weekend, where they participated in team building activities, as well as selected some excursions to complete.

We asked Verigent, LLC for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

Over the years we have studied our high performers, and there are a few characteristics that separate our high performers, from everyone else.  They include: work ethic, being solution orientated, professional, and having a positive attitude. We also look for people who share our values of: Honesty, Appreciation, Fairness, Partnership, Community, Excellence, and Service.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Prospective employees can gain our attention by first doing their research on Verigent, and the services we provide.  Also, prospective employees should be aware of their own professional short term and long term goals, as we look for employees who are motivated.  

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We are looking to hire people in a wide variety of roles from administrative to sales, but our highest volume of positions for those interested in recruiting roles, or starting in recruiting and then going through our sales training program.
