What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
United Shore actively pursues candidates who possess a strong work ethic and positive attitude, and have the ability to fulfill his/her role within a team concept. Great candidates are coachable, driven, and take ownership over their work.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
Prospective team members should do their research on our company – know what United Shore's values are and what makes us different than other companies. Be creative, offer outside-the-box ideas and solutions, and show that your personality makes you a great fit for our unique culture! In addition to possessing the technical skill set needed to do the job, they should be sure to ask questions and display confidence.
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
Our goal is to attract a lot of recent college graduates, whether they have mortgage experience or not. We've had great success taking fresh minds and tailoring them to our culture at United Shore, as well as the mortgage industry. We want to connect with recent college graduates who have degrees in finance or accounting, with GPA’s above 3.0, who may have never considered the mortgage industry as a career path. United Shore offers a tremendous amount of positions in sales, underwriting and IT. Once these candidates visit our headquarters to meet with us and get an understanding of the business, they realize that it really aligns with what they went to school for.

Interested candidates should visit our website and network with people who work here. Sixty-five percent of our new hires are referrals of current team members.
