Perks and Programs

We asked TRINITY LOGISTICS, INC to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Casual Dress Code: Trinity has a casual dress code that allows its team members to wear jeans and Trinity t-shirts. Our last survey results showed that an overwhelming number of team members appreciated being able to come to work in comfortable attire.
  • Guiding Value Awards: Team members are able to recognize one another throughout the year for their commitment to following Trinity's guiding values. Each month, team members from each office are drawn randomly from those peer awards, to be recognized as "Guiding Value winners." At the end of the year, all recognitions are tabulated. The top two individuals for each category are the nominees for the annual award, which is then voted for by the team members. These awards are more coveted by some of our team than those handed out by leadership.
  • Trinity University: Trinity has an established education department that offers all team members both professional and personal development courses. Currently we have 54 classes covering topics that include sales techniques, new hire curriculum in Operations and Administration, compliance classes such as Hazmat, Risk Management 101, and technical classes. For personal development, we offer leadership, financial planning, wills and estates, goal setting, and the Oz Principle. Additionally, one of Trinity's benefits is tuition reimbursement to team members for college courses outside of Trinity University. One of the most recent accomplishments was partnering with a local college to create a Supply Chain Logistics Program.
  • GPS Program: Every new hire is assigned a team member as their coach to help them in their personal and professional development. They are their guide for the first 180 days of employment with Trinity, called their "Journity." Topics covered are components of our core values and how they are lived and displayed, goal setting, the Dale Carnegie principles of how to influence people, people skills, and project management. Most importantly, team members are given an opportunity to have a mentor answer all of their questions in the first six months.
  • Team Anniversaries: Trinity acknowledges their team members' milestone anniversaries at 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 years of service. The team members are offered gifts for their service and are acknowledged on our intranet, at our team meetings, and at our quarterly town hall meetings. One of the most appreciated acknowledgments for all anniversaries, including milestone awards, is a yearly anniversary card, personally signed by our Executive Leadership Team.
  • Awards Trip: Our top leadership awards are the Banning Award, for individuals who best exemplify the Trinity guiding values, provide exceptional customer service, and servant leadership; the President's Award, for individuals who live the Trinity guiding values and who have played a significant part in Trinity's success; and the Legacy Award, for individuals who have chosen to live a life of purpose that leaves a legacy, which is our ultimate purpose in our guiding values. These individuals are all invited to a four day vacation to a tropical resort, where they not only relax with a guest, but meet with the Executive Leadership Team for a few hours to brainstorm a particular topic.
  • Trinity Orientation: Trinity has an extensive orientation process that leads team members through their job performance, expectations, and the tasks and skills associated with their position.  Additionally, there is a separate day set aside each month for new team members to come together and learn about Trinity's history and guiding values and its servant leadership philosophy, in an interactive and fun atmosphere.
  • Celebrations: Trinity is intentional about celebrations. We hold annual Christmas parties, in addition to summer BBQ's, and Field Day. We also celebrate victories in a big way when it comes to company and individual successes and benchmarks, typically with impromptu recognition events or lunches.
  • Kudos: To promote team member appreciation and collaboration between offices, we have a kudos spot on our intranet where team members can give a shoutout or kudo for a job well done to any team member, which is visible to the entire team in addition to the Guiding Values wall in each office that gives a shout out to any team member across all offices that has made an impact to another team member or the company as a whole.
  • Lunch Wagon: In our corporate office, one of our founders, Mrs. Deana Banning, cooks lunch for the team members three days a week. Team members sign up for this program through Team Services and eat a hot meal and a salad bar with all the fixings at a reduced cost.

How to Get Hired

We asked TRINITY LOGISTICS, INC for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

We look for characteristics that mirror our culture. We look for prospective employees who will collaborate, are competitive, action-oriented, and ambitious, who display servant leadership, have had past success, and are passionate. We look for those who will enjoy their career with us, while pursuing our goals.  While skill set is important, a positive attitude is key in being successful at Trinity. This can be the difference between an employee who doesn’t stay long and fails to produce results, versus a long-term employee who can become a key player in the company.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

A prospective employee can gain our attention by researching our company on the internet, identifying their skills, and connect how they translate into the position they are applying for. Prospective team members should display how their past experience and personal traits would be an asset to Trinity Logistics. Trinity is a part of an unique industry with a lot of opportunity for growth.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

Gearing into 2018 we will most likely continue to search for technology and business development candidates that we can add to our team.
