  • Active and involved Leadership: TTF was created by six founders who started the company just 13 years ago with a united vision of being an employee-first organization. The founders are all very active, open, and accessible in every aspect of our business. They work “on the floor” on projects for clients as Creative Directors, Supervisors, and artists, so they’re very in touch with what it’s like to work in the company. It’s not uncommon for our employees to go to lunch with our founders or walk into the office of our CEO (also a founder) to share what’s on their mind, make a suggestion, or just say “Hello!”
  • Communication and Transparency: Creating a warm, open, and transparent working environment is important to our culture. This is shared during the orientation of all new employees and reiterated with quarterly Town Hall meetings where our CEO and other TTF leaders provide company updates and encourage open Q&A’s. We have Founder Fridays in which the founders socialize during our catered lunches and mingle with employees to stay abreast of what’s going on in the company. We also welcome the opinions of our employee in our internal Employee Engagement Survey and actively respond to reviews posted by both current and former employees on These various channels allow us to constantly be in the loop in order to quickly respond and maintain the environment our employees enjoy.
  • Work hard, play hard: We believe that opportunities to have fun together create bonds and a familial environment. Every six weeks or so, we host Fun Fridays, in which our employees and their significant others hang out after work at events like Irish Pub Trivia Night, a Luau Party, and an Art Gallery Night - all with food, drinks, and music. We have Themed Thursdays in which employees come to work in their best 80’s gear, Harry Potter attire, or crazy hats! We also have TTF Day with the Dodgers, the Family Picnic, and TTF Night Out- where we take over a restaurant and show off our karaoke skills! These events allow our employees to socialize, let loose, and just have fun both at and away from work.
  • Learning and Development: The opportunity to be challenged and grow is in our DNA. We design and implement a variety of learning programs to enrich our employees. Our popular Learn at Lunch Program features both internal and external speakers on topics ranging from technology, animation, figure drawing, and even financial education talks on buying a home, saving for retirement, and managing credit. TTF Bootcamps on a variety of subjects from Techvis, Postvis, Editorial and Rigging are also coordinated to allow our employees to expand their skillset and craft. In addition, our Scholarship Program allows for employees to choose external opportunities that are more personalized with their career goals and allow for continued growth!
  • Grow and Promote from Within: We know that employees enjoy challenges and being engaged at greater levels as they progress in their careers, so we focus on growing and promoting from within. Last year, 28% of our open roles were filled by promotions. We have Senior Supervisors managing entire teams who started as artists, and artists that started as PA's and coordinators. Employees can enjoy a variety of career paths that suit their passions and professional goals within the company!
  • Work/Life Balance: At TTF, we feel strongly that time outside of the office is just as important, if not more important than time in the office when it comes to our employees and their loved ones. Our employees work an average of 45 hours per week and rarely work on weekends. We also offer a two-week holiday hiatus for employees to spend with their loved ones together. We’re also proud to be the first company in our industry to offer six weeks of paid Parental Leave to new parents, including both opposite and same-sex couples who bring a loved one into their lives through natural birth, fostering, or adoption.
  • Recognition: We like to celebrate all kinds of events at TTF! Whether it’s birthdays, promotions, new family additions, or anniversaries – we’ll find a way to recognize the milestones of our employees. Our popular Perks Program, which provides various levels of flights to our employees on service anniversaries, allows our employees to visits our other global TTF offices and explore the world. Parents of new babies are given a personalized “TTF Newbie” onesie as part of the Welcome Baby basket. Birthdays are celebrated monthly with a company announcement, singing (Yes, we actually sing!), and lots of cake!
  • Amazing People: How we treat each other is a crucial element of our culture. Our recruitment practices are deliberately thorough (some say laborious) in order to make sure that only the best employees join the team. While knowledge and skills are important, they’re just the starting point for us. Finding employees who fit our culture of teamwork, appreciation, respect, and fun is paramount in all of our affairs. When an employee may be having challenges, it's important to us that we quickly recognize that, and offer guidance and support for them to be successful. What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

First and foremost, you should be passionate about storytelling and filmmaking. You should take your craft and your passions seriously, but not yourself because we don’t. Second, our culture and our values are sacred to us. They’re based on excellence, integrity, innovation, teamwork, appreciation, and having fun. If you can check those boxes and you're passionate about your discipline, you’ll probably fit right in. 

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

We review thousands of applications, resumes, cover letters, and demo reels a year and you’ve got to stand out from the crowd. Animation walk cycles are a dime a dozen. Show us something we’ve never seen before or something we have seen reimagined through a different and exciting lens! Show us how your passion for your discipline is exhibited both in your personal and professional life. Finally, a customized and unique resume and cover letter expressing your interest (while demonstrating that you’ve done your homework on us) shouldn’t be underestimated.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

Generalists who have a variety of skills are always in high demand. If you can create amazing previs shots showcasing your eye for camera use and lighting, but can also composite and track in postvis, we’d love to hear from you! As our company grows, techvis, virtual production, and VR gurus are becoming more difficult to find, but these specialists will always find a home at TTF.
