What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
First and foremost, you should be passionate about storytelling and filmmaking. You should take your craft and your passions seriously, but not yourself because we don’t. Second, our culture and our values are sacred to us. They’re based on excellence, integrity, innovation, teamwork, appreciation, and having fun. If you can check those boxes and you're passionate about your discipline, you’ll probably fit right in.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
We review thousands of applications, resumes, cover letters, and demo reels a year and you’ve got to stand out from the crowd. Animation walk cycles are a dime a dozen. Show us something we’ve never seen before or something we have seen reimagined through a different and exciting lens! Show us how your passion for your discipline is exhibited both in your personal and professional life. Finally, a customized and unique resume and cover letter expressing your interest (while demonstrating that you’ve done your homework on us) shouldn’t be underestimated.
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
Generalists who have a variety of skills are always in high demand. If you can create amazing previs shots showcasing your eye for camera use and lighting, but can also composite and track in postvis, we’d love to hear from you! As our company grows, techvis, virtual production, and VR gurus are becoming more difficult to find, but these specialists will always find a home at TTF.
