Perks and Programs

We asked The Patron Spirits Company to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Parental Leave: We always strive to provide our employees with a healthy work/life balance. For example, when a new addition to a family arrives, both parents need time to adjust and bond, so we offer both maternity and paternity leave to our colleagues.
  • Best of Breed Benefits: We want our colleagues to have peace of mind that as they work hard for Patrón, we’re also working hard for them and their families. We pay 100% of medical benefits for employees -- that means they have zero out-of-pocket expenses for in-network covered healthcare. For all of our employees -- but particularly the millennial generation -- this allows tremendous income flexibility to start contributing to retirement early, knowing that medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance are all taken care of by the company.
  • Industry Leading Compensation: In recent compensation studies, Patrón has proven to be a clear leader in terms of salaries, benefits, and total compensation. Our company discretionary bonus program is the envy of the spirits industry.
  • Team Building and Networking: At Patrón, we’re a family, and we take great care to ensure that everyone feels appreciated and valued, and that they're an important part of the organization. Each of our sales regions have frequent team meetings and activities, bringing together employees who work across large geographies. We also have an all-company meeting in Las Vegas every other year where all of our team members, from across the globe, gather for several days of motivational events, training, team building, camaraderie and fun!
  • Career Development and Training: Career growth and development is an important focus at Patrón. We often poll our teams to determine the areas of training they find most useful, and then we work to accommodate those needs.
  • Extended Company Holidays: Patrón of course observes the standard national holidays, but we also offer extended time off at the end of the year, and reduced work hours in the summer. These programs allow our employees to spend more time with family, particularly those employees with school-aged children. It's just one more way we show appreciation to our teams for their hard work and determination.

How to Get Hired

We asked The Patron Spirits Company for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

More than two decades ago we created the ultra-premium tequila sector, and today not only is Patrón the iconic, leading brand in the category, we’re also one of the world’s most admired and respected brands.  And because of that, when we’re identifying prospective employees, we pride ourselves on hiring only “PatrónWorthy” candidates. By that we mean people who share our passion and enthusiasm for this brand and this industry.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Quite simply, we look for people who are great at what they do. We want to hire the best in field, whether that’s sales, finance, IT, HR, legal, logistics, marketing, or production. Great employees often know great potential employees, so we rely heavily on our own internal colleagues to help identify potential prospects – even if we currently don’t have an open position in a given geography or department, we still encourage our employees and business partners to refer people to us, so that when a position becomes available, we have a bench of possible top candidates to tap.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We’re a sales organization, so we’re continually looking for best-in-class sales professionals. But a great sales organization can’t be successful without talented people in marketing, finance, IT, and other disciplines, so we’re always interested in meeting candidates with those skill sets. We’re an interesting company in that we have such varied and exciting job opportunities, from sales and marketing, to tequila distillation and cocktail development!

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?

Well, of course it’s not a requirement that potential candidates drink tequila, but certainly we want people who demonstrate a strong interest in this industry and understand the oblications that come with working for an iconic, luxury brand!  We’re very proud that Patrón is widely credited with creating the ultra- premium tequila category and today we’re the most-respected top-end tequila in the world. Interested candidates should take the time to learn our history, and our business philosophy. We’re a growing company, but we’re still very much a family, and we’re very careful to hire only those who understand and share our collegial culture. To get to know us, the best place to start is at our corporate website,, and our primary brand site It’s also a good idea to follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, and we often post job positions on LinkedIn.
