What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
More than two decades ago we created the ultra-premium tequila sector, and today not only is Patrón the leading brand in the category, we’re also one of the world’s most admired and respected brands. And because of that, when we’re identifying prospective employees, we pride ourselves on hiring only “PatrónWorthy” candidates. By that we mean people who share our passion and enthusiasm for this brand and this industry, and who also understand that everything they do, everything they say, everything they think should always be best in class. We look for driven people who demonstrate the highest level of integrity and determination.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
Quite simply, we look for people who are great at what they do. We want to hire the best in field, whether that’s sales, finance, IT, HR, legal, logistics, marketing, or production. Great employees often know great potential employees, so we rely heavily on our own internal colleagues to help identify potential prospects – even if we currently don’t have an open position in a given geography or department, we still encourage our employees and business partners to refer people to us, so that when a position becomes available, we have a bench of possible top candidates to tap.
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
We’re a sales organization, so we’re continually looking for best-in-class sales professionals. But a great sales organization can’t be successful without talented people in marketing, finance, IT, and other disciplines, so we’re always interested in meeting candidates with those skill sets. We’re an interesting company in that we have such varied and exciting job opportunities, from sales and marketing, to tequila distillation and cocktail development!
What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?
Well, of course it’s not a requirement that potential candidates drink tequila, but certainly we want people who demonstrate a strong interest in this industry and understand the obligations that come with working for an iconic, luxury brand!
