How to Get Hired

We asked Texakoma Operating, L.P. for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

Integrity…Loyalty…Grit…Attitude. We strive to do things the right way even when it’s not the easy way and we want our employees to be vested in the process, on board with our company mission and to approach each and every situation they face with honesty and integrity. We look for candidates that will rise to the occasion when faced with demanding projects or tough decisions, and who are willing to exemplify true loyalty to the company and the work that will be asked of them and to do so with a positive attitude.  At the outset, these traits can be identified anecdotally through a candidate’s work history, interview presence and his or her demonstration of patience, determination and perseverance throughout those past experiences.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

We seek candidates who can demonstrate, through past challenges, experiences and accomplishments, how they will add value and foster the growth of our company.  Our business is built on finding and retaining individuals that are self-motivated, team players willing to contribute in any way needed towards preserving and cultivating our culture and success, and who aspire to make our company a long-term home.  We look for candidates who have taken those extra steps and can demonstrate the tangible and intangible interests, energy, attitude and attributes that make our company a productive and positive place to work.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We are always interested in hiring motivated and talented professionals, engineers, geologists and support staff who have the experience, work ethic and vision to help our business grow.
