Perks and Programs

We asked TechStyle Fashion Group to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Paid Parental Leave: TechStyle provides seven weeks of fully paid time off for both mothers and fathers to allow them time to bond with their newborn or adopted baby. Additionally, teams often host baby showers or other celebratory activities to celebrate with the expecting employee.
  • Bonus Eligibility: Regardless of overtime eligibility, all full time employees are eligible to participate in our bonus program (excluding Fulfillment Center Associates).
  • ELT Breakfast: To maintain culture during our rapid growth, we instituted the ELT (Executive Leadership Team) Breakfast program. Each week, we host 4-6 options for employees to attend an intimate (8 person max) breakfast with a different member of our executive team. The breakfasts consist of candid conversations, questions, sharing feedback, and building connections with our executives. It's one of our most popular programs, and is open to all employees.
  • Company Parties and Events: No one throws a party quite like TechStyle! Our employees are invited to 3-4 large-scale parties yearly. We work with an external event company to ensure quality, including delicious food/drinks, special decor, and fun activities. Our CEO hands out prizes, typically via raffle or prize wheel to ensure an equal opportunity to win. In addition to our soirees, we also host a variety of other events throughout the year. We host Bring Your Kids to Work Day with a series of educational activities for the kiddos. We host quarterly philanthropy activities, including the Do-Good Bus, in which employees sign up for mystery philanthropy activities (ranging from planting gardens to beach clean-ups). We also have other, smaller events such as happy hours or barbeques.
  • Subsidized Food and Drink: We offer our employees subsidized food and drink in our on-site company cafe. This allows our team to receive discounted prices on breakfast, lunch, snacks, and happy hour. We offer a variety of healthy options, including salad bar, sandwich bar, daily grill, daily specials, and grab-n-go from the refrigerator. We also have a coffee bar with trained baristas and a frozen yogurt machine. In addition to our subsidized cafe, we also offer complimentary coffee, tea, snacks, and fruit.
  • Employee Discount: All employees are offered a 40% discount off of all merchandise, and also have access to quarterly sample sales at extremely steep discounts.
  • RISE Program: In alignment with our cultural cornerstone "Learn and Grow," we instituted the RISE program, which stands for Really Interesting Stuff for Employees. RISE is TechStyle's employee development and enrichment program and it's mission is to support employee performance and engagement through meaningful training and engagement experiences. RISE has three program tracks: RISE Core, which hosts external speakers and learning events; RISE Masters, where our internal subject matter experts, in conjunction with our learning & development team, develop and lead training on various topics (such as powerpoint, excel, business metrics, etc.); and RISE Cares, a vehicle for a variety of philanthropy activities (such as teen mentoring or back-to-school book drives). There are anywhere from 2-4 RISE events per quarter, and RISE is open to all employees.
  • Discretionary Paid Time Off: To support our employees in getting the rest and relaxation that they need to balance work and life, we offer a discretionary paid time off policy. This policy allows unlimited paid time off for all full-time employees.
  • LEAP Program: One of our core beliefs is the importance of strong leadership. For this reason, we invest in LEAP, our annual leadership summit. This event brings together all senior leaders (Director and above) for 3 days to provide in-depth leadership development and training. We utilize this time to reinforce a consistent message about TechStyle’s leadership expectations, and provide support in developing the skills and self-awareness needed to lead effective and engaged teams. In addition to providing tools and skill building, LEAP is also an opportunity to strengthen our global community by bringing together individuals across functions. We also provide ongoing support after LEAP to ensure that the learnings cascade back to teams, ensuring a benefit for all employees at TechStyle.
  • Do Good Bus Community Programs: The TechStyle teams recently took several days off to build gardens at a nearby school. Philanthropic adventures bring together our teams and allow us to help local causes in a fun, social, playful environment. TechStyle and its employees regularly participate in events for local causes, raising awareness and providing the power of working together to build a stronger community.

How to Get Hired

We asked TechStyle Fashion Group for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

In addition to suitability and eligibility for the specific role, it's important that prospective employees align with our seven cultural cornerstones: Be Passionate, Be Great at Your Job, Be Entrepreneurial & Accountable, Do The Right Work, Be a Team Player, Learn & Grow, and Let’s Not take Ourselves too Seriously. If a candidate shares these beliefs on a foundational level, and has the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment driven by teamwork and innovation, they've come to the right place.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

A strong resume that demonstrates clear and measurable successes is a great start. We’re also looking for candidates with a passion for technology and/or fashion, and excitement about joining an innovative team that’s looking to challenge the status quo. Understanding the history of our company prior to the interview and demonstrating exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) during the process will also grab our attention. It’s an added bonus if a candidate can speak to a few concrete examples of when and how they’ve lived our cultural cornerstones in other environments. For example, sharing a story of a time they’ve been entrepreneurial, or when they’ve committed themselves to learning and growing.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

As a general rule, we're always seeking top talent in fashion design, and we are currently focused on hiring world class software engineers and data science professionals.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?
