  • TD Volunteer Network ("TDVN: We are proud of our employees' generosity, whose community spirit and engagement positively impact the lives of the people in our communities. The TDVN makes it easy for them to be involved, offering strategic volunteer activities that support their personal interests, professional development, TD's diversity and giving priorities, and non-profit board service that engage and involve our communities. Since the TDVN's launch in September 2013, TD Bank employees have volunteered 188,600 hours at 41,000 service events with 4,600 organizations – a value of $4.4 million to local charities (Independent Sector's 2015 value of volunteer time @$23.56/hour).We achieved our outstanding employee participation rate of 56% in less than three years (national corporate rates average 30% - Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship's 2015 Community Involvement Survey).
  • Employee Experience Council: To further support an environment of transparency and employee engagement, TD Bank has an Employee Experience Council, with senior level leaders representing the different businesses across TD Bank. The council is responsible for Pulse Engagment Survey action planning at the company-wide level, and is chaired jointly by the Head of HR and the Executive Vice-President, Business Initiatives, with a mandate to support the people strategy at TD Bank. The primary mission of the Employee Experience Council is to ensure TD Bank is recognized as an extraordinary and inclusive place to work that attracts, retains and develops great people.   • WOW! Awards: At TD Bank we hold annual WOW! Award events across our footprint to celebrate our employees, culture and top performers at the bank. All employees are invited to attend these spirited celebrations – more than 10,000 employees attended the nine WOW! Award shows in 2016. Attendees cheer on their local nominees with personalized signs, noisemakers, and accessorize with TD Bank green attire to show their support. At each of these nine regional gatherings, Quarterly WOW! Stars are recognized as nominees for the CEO WOW! Leadership Awards. CEO WOW! Leadership Award winners are announced at each of the WOW!   • Annual TD Bank/Special Olympics Fundraising Campaign: TD Bank's annual Campaign engages employees and community in raising money and awareness for Special Olympics. Activities that create personal connections with the athletes and support the acceptance and inclusion of all people are the heart of the campaign – in-Store and back office athlete visits, year-round "unified" volunteer activities, Summer Games Torch Run "Pep R-Allies" and TD cheer sections, and more engage our employees and communities. In 2016, campaign enhancements included the launch of a new Adaptive Financial Education pilot program for individuals with intellectual disabilities and collectible Special Olympics Athlete Trading Cards that highlight athlete stories and engage employees and community members in the commonalities we all share. Since 2009, TD's annual Campaign has raised $8.7 million for Special Olympics programs nationwide!
  • "Housing for Everyone" Grant Competition: TD Bank employees are extremely proud of the TD Charitable Foundation’s "Housing for Everyone" grant competition. Each year it funds initiatives that help create, rehabilitate or maintain safe, affordable housing for thousands of people in local communities. In 2015, Housing for Everyone awarded $2.5 million to 25 non-profits from Maine to Florida. Grants of $100,000 were awarded to non-profits seeking to preserve and improve affordable housing units, many incorporating green technologies and renewable resources, aligning with our commitment to be an environmental leader. Since it was established in 2006, Housing for Everyone has awarded $19.9 million to help provide safe, affordable housing in the U.S.
