Perks and Programs

We asked T-Mobile US, Inc. to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Diversity and Inclusion: Fearless leaders, change makers, idea people—these are the qualities we look for in employees, and it’s what inclusion and diversity bring us. T-Mobile has the most diverse employees and customers in wireless – and it’s a huge competitive advantage that we nurture with our inclusive culture. In four years of formal D&I at T-Mobile, participation, has grown from 8% of employees at launch to 18% and continues to grow daily. Employees participate through six Employee Network Groups (ENGs) and 29 local D&I chapters. ENGs include: Access for Disabilities Military Honors & Support, Multicultural, Multigenerational, Pride & Allies, and Women’s Leadership.
  • LiveMagenta: LiveMagenta has the support we all need – from debt management to a personal crisis to self-improvement. Employees and family members can call 24/7 or chat with a life coach; get their own expert money coach for free, unlimited sessions to get out of debt, save to buy a house and more; and use state‐of‐the‐art apps to work on health & fitness, finances, resiliency, and more. includes the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and so much more.
  • Childcare Subsidy: The childcare subsidy is designed to provide some relief from high dependent care costs. Employees could receive up to $200 a month, depending on their eligibility, to help with their childcare bills. That's as much as $2,400 a year—free!
  • Rewards and Recognition: Hard work deserves recognition — that’s the T-Mobile way. We send top performers on award trips; PEAK in Maui or Winners Circle in Las Vegas, where they’re treated like VIPs. Employees can send virtual recognition via the Appreciation Zone, our recognition site, and anniversary, retirement recognition and the coveted CEO award, the T-Mobilizer, round out  employee recognition.
  • Tuition Assistance: We invest in our employees with one of the best tuition assistance programs in the country. Full-time employees are eligible for $5,250 per calendar year ‐ the maximum non-taxable benefit allowed by the IRS. Part-time employees are eligible for $2,500 per calendar year. All employees are eligible after 90 days, including part time. While most companies require employees to pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed at the end of the semester, T-Mobile pays schools up front and we even cover textbooks. All employees are eligible after 90 days – even part time. Plus we have 5 partner schools that provide "free" tuition to our employees, waiving fees above the annual T-mobile benefit so there is no cost to the employee.
  • Employee Relief Fund: Our Employee Relief Fund offers cash assistance to help employees through tough times. The fund assists employees impacted by natural disasters such as floods, fires or hurricanes. It also covers the burial of a family member in cases where insurance isn't available or other events that make it impossible to meet basic needs. We take a people-centered approach by always putting the needs of the employee at the forefront, streamlining requests to get funds quickly into the hands of those in need.
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan: T-Mobile's Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) is an opportunity for employees to share in T-Mobile’s performance by purchasing stock at a 15% discount (plus a lookback feature) through payroll deduction. More than 20% of employees participate. In our last offering period ending 3/31/2017, participants purchased stock at $39.848 while the market price that day was $64.59.
  • Employee Stock Grant: We all have a personal interest in building our T-Mobile future with Employee Stock Grants. Annual Employee Stock Grants are awarded to full- and part-time employee up to the director level. Eligibility is generous with a hire date two weeks prior to the grant date. Sales and customer service reps are awarded a grant with a $1,000 value each year with a two-year vest.
  • Medical and Dental Benefits: Our health benefits are the same for ALL. Whether you’re a part-timer or our CEO, you’ve got the same medical, vision and dental plan options. We know choice is important, so we offer health benefits to both full and part time employees starting the first day of the month after 30 days of service. We offer three medical plans, two dental plans, vision, flexible spending accounts (FSAs), virtual care from Teladoc and free health care resources through Compass Health Pros.
  • Progressive Health Benefits: In addition to all the other great benefits we offer, T-Mobile provides support for employees and their families through more progressive offerings. We provide coverage for treatment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). For employees wanting Adoption & Surrogacy Assistance, T-Mobile offers up to $13,500 per child in adoption and surrogacy assistance. T-Mobile also offers assistance with gender affirming medical services with no lifetime dollar limit on surgeries.
