  • Parental Leave Policy: All our new parents across the globe get 16 weeks of paid leave after the birth or placement of the child. Whether it's a birth or adoption, all employees are eligible for the program. Expecting mothers may also take two additional paid weeks off prior to the expected delivery date. 100% of our new parents have returned to work at SurveyMonkey after taking this new enhanced leave.
  • Responsible Paid Time Off & Extended Bereavement Policy: One of our values is to #prioritizehealth. We encourage employees to take time to focus on their whole well-being. We offer responsible Paid Time Off: US employees get 20-25 days PTO each year. Plus, at the end of December, all offices staff for minimal operations, giving most employees the week off to spend with family and enjoy a holiday recharge. Those few employees who work to support our customers are paid special holiday pay in recognition of their dedication. We've extended our bereavement policy, giving those who are dealing with unimaginable loss a chance to focus on their emotional recovery. Employees have up to 20 days paid leave to grieve an immediate family member and up to 10 days to grieve an extended family member.
  • Food: Across all our offices at SurveyMonkey, we offer free breakfast and lunch four days a week. In our headquarters office, this food is prepared in a state of the art kitchen, with many healthy options to select from. Other offices provide catered meals, striving for variety and nutritious quality. In addition, we also offer a variety of free drinks and snacks at all office locations, such as nuts, popcorn, crackers, chips, fruit, teas, coffees and carbonated beverages.

  • Take 4: This program provides employees of the company to take 4 consecutive paid weeks off to recharge, travel, work on a project or pursue whatever passion or personal matters of their choice following every 4 years of employment. This is in addition to our responsible PTO policy and can be combined with new parent leave. This program allows us to recognize and reward our most loyal employees, and also provides career development opportunities for employees who are providing coverage while their colleagues are on the "Take 4" leave.
  • Learning & Development: All new hires at SurveyMonkey are provided with 3 days of in-person training on our company’s mission, business strategy, and values, as well as up to a month of formal job-related training for our sales, engineering and customer support teams. We provide leadership training for all 150+ people managers in the form of a classroom-based curriculum covering critical skills, such as hiring, goal setting, team development, performance management. We also provide individual 8-week coaching engagements for 50 senior leaders. Our employees are proactive in helping each other learn by delivering courses across all offices on topics ranging from negotiation skills to online security. All SurveyMonkey employees also have unlimited access to Udemy for Business, a 3rd-party online learning platform, to develop and learn new skills.
  • SurveyMonkey Contribute: We created SurveyMonkey Contribute as an easy way for panel members to contribute to their favorite charities, and for charitable organizations to raise millions of dollars online, whether it's a small fund or a huge global project like Doctors without Borders or Red Cross. We have already donated over $10M to over 70 non-profit organizations through this program. Both our employees and panel members can contribute to their favorite charities by taking quick surveys whenever they have time; each survey means a $0.50 contribution to the charity of their choice. Contributors also enter sweepstakes to win gifts from SurveyMonkey.
  • Wellbeing program: One of our company’s core values is: Prioritize Health. We provide an array of programs to support employees’ wellbeing, both in and out of the office. We host weekly workout classes (Circuit, yoga) at our well-equipped activity room; Provide access to high-quality videos on nutrition, meditation, yoga etc., and a monthly allowance toward wellbeing activities. Throughout the year we host biometric screening, vendor and community fair, financial 1:1 consulting, massages and cooking demos.
  • Refinancing or Repayment of Student Loans: We offer several options to support employees in the refinancing or repayment of their student loans. We've partnered with Student Loan Genius offering employees access to their Genius Advisor platform which simplifies the multitude of repayment scenarios and helps employees find the best repayment plan through a web tool and live one-on-one advising service. In the last two months, over seventeen employees registered for an account to use Genius Advisor. Since 2013 we also have a program for employees at each of our US offices to seek personal and confidential financial advice from a registered investment advisor. Participation in this program is continuously growing with over 150 employees who took advantage of these 1-on-1 advisor meetings in 2016.
