  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA): SPR offers employees the opportunity to participate in a Section 125 Flexible Spending Account (FSA). What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

Aside from bringing the proper skillsets and security credentials our customers require, a great prospective employee has a genuine interest in the subject matter or project our position involves.  These folks aren’t just looking for another job, they appreciate the trust we place in them and the opportunity to independently support our customers.  We look for candidates who can function in varying degrees of structure, who enjoy our close-knit atmosphere, and who are willing to pitch in and support each other as needs arise.  A great fit for our company is always aware of their daily requirements and able to adjust and respond accordingly. 

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

If you work at the same customer sites and interact with SPR personnel, get to know our people.  Because the majority of our personnel work on-site, you’ll have a better understanding of how SPR operates with our customers and employees.  Roughly a third of our hires in 2016 have been employee referral and we appreciate and review all referrals.  If you apply to our positions, include a cover letter with your resume letting us know how you might fit our job.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

The two most common positions we hire are Acquisition Support Program Managers and Subject Matter Experts.  We also fill many Software/Systems Engineers and Cyber Security positions.  Specific areas we work in include Earned Value Management, technical writing, research and analysis, financial analysis, information assurance, and cyber security, quality assurance, source selection support, systems/software engineering, and test engineering.
