Gongxi Facái! Our Toledo Employee Club wished employees happiness / prosperity with a Chinese New Year celebration. More than 150 people joined in and also collected $700 for the Sean Smith Memorial Fund, which benefits the family of our dear colleague who we lost.

Employees are eligible for either a discretionary bonus or incentive bonus based upon their individual performance. Company performance is rewarded through our profit sharing (Vanguard) and team award (cash) programs. We also have our 401k match and a student scholarship program. What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

We are looking for talent that not only has the technical experience that we need but also are a strong cultural fits to the organization. We want individuals who align with our Corporate Vision (World-Class People, Delivering World-Class Projects for World-Class Clients) and Core Values (Safety, Quality, Integrity, Agility, Collaboration, and Innovation). We look for candidates who demonstrate leadership potential and who can add diversity to our workforce.  Candidates who want to bring the highest level of customer service — internal and external — will thrive in our environment.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

When reviewing resumes, we are not only looking for experience and employment history, but also accomplishments noted throughout their career. Cost savings, innovative design solutions, leveraging of technology, and growing business through account relationships are all things that would stick out to us. We also like to see applicants who are actively engaged in their professional and local communities.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We have a shortage of architectural and electrical engineering talent throughout the company. In addition to our recruitment efforts to secure the architectural and electrical talent we need, we are also looking for strong Project Managers, Project Directors, and BIM / VDC talent.  The talent we are looking for will continue to drive our firm’s evolution from a traditional AEC company, to a global project delivery firm.
