  • Champions' & President's Clubs: High performing branch managers qualify for Champion’s Club. Managers who qualify for Champion’s Club (event has been in place for over forty years) celebrate with each qualifier and guest during an all-expense paid four day weekend at sites ranging from Disney World to New Orleans. Further, these champion managers receive additional cash bonuses, a ring (designed by the jeweler who designs the Super Bowl rings), Rolex watches, etc. The family members at the qualifying branches receive additional benefits as well. President's Club is our recognition event for high performing salespersons. Like Champion’s Club, the President’s Club (event has been in place for thirty years) qualifiers receive many perks similar to those outlined for Champions' Club.
  • Bonus Program: All Southern Pipe & Supply family members (employees) are eligible for twice a year bonuses based on the performance of their location.
  • Service Plus Recognition: All Southern Pipe family members who display extraordinary service externally to customers or internally to family members can be nominated for quarterly drawings for $500 gift cards.
  • Family Member Appreciation Week: The third week in April we celebrate our employees through Family Member Appreciation Week across the company. During this week, celebrations are held at every location ranging from cookouts to ice cream buffets. Each day during the week, drawings are held for various gift cards ranging in value from $50 to $500. A total of $5,500 is awarded to winning family members.
  • Craz-E-Dazs: On numerous occasions throughout the year, family members are encouraged to dress up and celebrate Craz-E-Dazs. Typically Craz-E- Dazs are Super Bowl Friday, St. Patrick's Day, Mardi Gras, Football Friday (kickoff of football season) & Halloween. Cash prizes for the top 3 best dressed family members and the top 3 best decorated locations. Included in those dressing up, you will find our CEO, and other top management of the company joining in the fun.
  • Family for Family Fund: Southern Pipe & Supply family members who experience financial hardship due to disasters, major health issues or death, may apply to receive aid from the Family for Family Fund. This fund was created after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and continues today.
  • Milestone Club - Service Tenure Recognition: Southern Pipe celebrates family member's commitment to the company by recognizing tenure beginning at 5 years. In 5 year intervals, family members are recognized with letters of congratulations and company jewelry. Beginning at 20 years, Southern Pipe celebrates long term family members tenure with inclusion in the Milestone Club. Held annually, the Milestone Club recognizes all 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 & 50 year family members with a recognition dinner, cash awards and gift certificates ranging up to $5,000 each.
  • Product Promotion Spiffs: Most all family members have the opportunity to earn cash/product spiffs or promotional trips by selling products of varying manufacturers. While most spiffs are in the $50 to $100 range, some earn $500 or more in spiffs and group trips valued at more then $1,000.
  • Health & Wellness: Southern Pipe family members can earn up to $300 by participating in the company's Health & Wellness program.

      What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

      Prospective employees must be caring individuals. A prospective employee must have a sincere respect for all employees in the workplace.  A prospective employee has a high level of personal integrity- she/he is dependable, has a strong work ethic, and does things the right way.  Lastly, a prospective employee must demonstrate personal leadership – she/he is altruistic (derive great joy from serving the customer and their fellow family members), understands and embraces change, and has a desire to learn.

      What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

      At Southern Pipe, our selection process focuses upon "hiring for attitude and training for skill". While past work experience and life lessons are important, attitude is most important. Demonstrate to us how your attitude can make you a valued member of our family.
