Perks and Programs

We asked Soliant Health to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Amazing Culture: We are a team made up of over 60% colleague-referred staff – with no referral bonus or program! We are proud of that statistic and of the diversity of backgrounds and skill sets that make up our team. When you ask a Soliant colleague about how they found their way to Soliant, chances are they are working with the very person who referred them. This lets us know that our colleagues love their jobs and want their friends and family to love their jobs too! Take a peek into our culture by watching our Great Place to Work video:
  • Volunteer Paid Time Off: We are proud to foster an environment of giving – of our time and our resources – to the communities around us. In the last 12 months, we’ve truly made community service a priority. We have prepared Thanksgiving meals for the homeless, traveled thousands of miles to deliver backpacks to students in a struggling Michigan school district, hosted blood drives right outside of our offices, and spent afternoons sorting holiday gifts for children in our local communities. We offer all of our employees eight hours of volunteer paid time off per year to help communities in need.
  • Tuition Reimbursement: We take our Great Place to Work surveys seriously. So when we heard that a tuition benefit is important to our colleagues, we listened! In 2016, we began offering a Tuition Reimbursement Program which provides all colleagues up to $5,000 in tuition reimbursement per year. We are proud to offer learning at all levels, from regular trainings all the way to this new tuition benefit.
  • Unconventional Benefits: Our benefits go beyond your typical healthcare benefits. We believe that health is wealth which is why we provide a wellness reimbursement plan that pays for gym and fitness class memberships for all of our colleagues. We organize group runs and wellness events that encourage colleagues to get outside and get fit. But our benefits don’t end there. We also offer domestic partner coverage, adoption funds, up to 6% one-to-one 401(k) matching, and much more.
  • Shovel Perks: At Soliant, a shovel is much more than a tool for picking up soil. It’s the tool for picking up perks, too! When colleagues reach milestones, they earn shovels of different colors that signify different success levels. Our shovel-holders get to enjoy perks such as jeans days, half days, a fun fancy lunch (on us!), a $1,000 Ritz-Carlton gift card, and an several award trips throughout the year including a 3-day cruise, trip to Disney and a beach getaway. Our shovel presentations are a perk in themselves. Managers from different divisions recognize their shovel-earning colleagues in the best way they know how: tear-jerking speeches, family appearances, song and dance numbers, and much more!
  • Intensive New Hire Training, Orientation, and Mentorship Programs: Our intense training program begins the day a colleague sets foot in our building. We want to set them up for success from the start by providing a two week, one-on-one new hire training from all levels of colleagues – from our president to our team leaders to our account executives. After their training, the new hires are assigned individual mentors who are seasoned colleagues tied to ensuring that they are successful at Soliant. We are what we consider a ‘learning organization’ and we believe that a solid foundation paves the way to lasting success.
  • Unlimited Opportunities for Professional Development: We train… and we train A LOT. We greatly value insight from colleagues who have achieved tremendous success at Soliant. That’s why we periodically ask them to provide instruction and inspiration to both new and veteran colleagues seeking to achieve their own milestones: from the opportunity to post articles on our daily internal blog to weekly all-company trainings on topics of their choice. In addition to our internal training, we also provide 1,000s of free online training courses from accredited programs.
  • Celebrations: There’s always a reason to celebrate at Soliant… and our favorite celebrations celebrate each other! Birthdays are big – and office décor is bigger. That goes for holiday events, too! On a regular basis, we plan themed breakfasts or lunches, hosted by other departments who want to say their ‘thanks’ to another department. We proudly celebrate Healthcare Recruiter Recognition Day… Yes, there is such a day!
  • Impacting Lives: When the confetti has settled, we always remember that the best perk of working at Soliant is the opportunity to change lives. To make lives better for those who make lives better. It is our motto, after all! Every day, we’re connecting people to highly qualified healthcare providers. We’re staffing hospitals off the beaten path with the nurses they desperately need. We’re placing special education teachers in a town where they otherwise may not be available. And we’re bridging the gap between the need and the lack of service providers through technology. Through our teletherapy services, therapists are able to provide much needed services remotely, whether they are ten or ten thousand miles away from the student in need – all through a computer screen!

How to Get Hired

We asked Soliant Health for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

We look at three key areas in potential account executives. First, we want to know if they are a good cultural fit for us. Culture is the most important element to our success.  Second, we look at whether or not this person would be motivated by what we have to offer. Will they be motivated by our culture, team environment, leadership style, and intense passion for our job? Third, we look at the way they build on their strengths. Have they had prior success in sales? Are they able to create relationships over the phone? Are they creative independent producers? We look for people who are friendly and kind, hard workers who are committed to follow-through and are looking for a career (not just a job). We look for people who are eager to learn, are creative thinkers, who have an impeccable integrity and a compassion for helping others.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

What really stands out to us is when prospective employees come into an interview prepared. We look for people who have delved into who we are and what we stand for even before they are considered for the position. A little bit of research can go a long way! People who follow up when they say they are going to, who aren’t afraid to ask questions, and who exhibit their strengths from the start… those people get our attention. Prospective employees impress us the most when they act as if they want the job for themselves more than we want it for them.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We are always looking for ambitious professionals to join our energetic group of colleagues. At Soliant Health, we truly believe that our business isn’t just healthcare staffing services. We build relationships and change lives: our own and those of the people we work with.  We’re looking for people who are able to work towards their goals while remaining grounded and genuinely concerned for our clients and associates. That balance is key to our success and theirs. We recruit like-minded people who share our vision for excellence.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?
