What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
Our people are our greatest assets. Last year one of our single largest investments was around training and onboarding new hires. We bring them to Toronto for four weeks. We invest in our people and in their success. We look for people who are similarily invested -- invested in their own development and growth, invested in our shared values, invested in the success of our clients and invested in giving back to our communities.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
Prospective employees catch our attention by being authentic and expressing how their unique experiences can help make Softchoice an even better place to work. We welcome the unique perspectives and insights of a diverse group of people. We believe this helps to drive innovation, collaboration and helps us to more accuragely reflect and serve our customer base. Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
This year we are focused on growing our business by strenghtening our relationships with existing customers and introducing Softchoice to new clients across North America. This will require a broad range of talent - sales, technical, operations and leadership. In our Sales Divisions, we are looking for Territory Sales Representatives, Inside Sales Representatives and Outbound Sales Representatives. This is where we will see the largest focus throughout the organization, and subsequently we have revitalized our 16 week sales rep onboarding program which combines 4 weeks of classroom instruction with an additional 12 weeks of on the job instruction, support and coaching.
As our Sales Teams increase in size, we will also be adding additional technical and operational support to ensure we provide the best in class customer service that we pride ourselves on. We'll also need new leaders to support the growth within the teams, and hope to fill those roles internally.
