  • Bi-Annual Smarties Semminar: Every year our employees from across the globe have 2 opportunities to come together as an entire organization to work on functional and organizational strategies, take advantage of professional development activities, and network. In the summer of 2017, for example, Smarties will be taken to Malta for a 2 days seminar.
  • Backpackers Program: Launched in January 2017, our backpackers program is the opportunity for Smarties to work in another country where we have an office for a short period of time. Our goal is to enhance connectedness across offices, share skills on a global scale & reinforce our international mindset and culture.
  • Empowered to Work Smart: At Smart AdServer, we recognize that the success of our employees is derived from their ability to be creative while balancing the need to collaborate and interact with their peers. As an organization, it is our responsibility and we are committed to to provide flexibility in order to help Smarties achieve optimal work and life balance. As such, we offer two distinctive programs; (1) “work from home” (WFH) and (2) “telecommuting” which provide a framework and allows for both company discretion and personal accountability.
  • Time Off Policiy: We offer above average time off benefits which include 3 weeks of vacation and 15 company holidays, including days designated as "floaters" which allow employees to have additional paid time off to cover absences for personal reasons, such as religious/cultural observances or to supplement vacation, sick and holiday leave.
  • Paid Leaves: At Smart, we provide employees with up to six (6) weeks of medical paid short term disability leave, compensated at 100%. Additionally, we provide primary caregiver leave which provides employees 100% salary payment for 6 weeks for the birth of a child, adoption of a child, or the placement of foster child in their home. Secondary caregivers receive 2 weeks of paid leave with payments at 100% of their base salary. For new mothers, for example, employees can receive up to 12 weeks (6 for medical reasons and 6 for bonding as a primary caregiver) of paid time off with 100% salary continuation through the duration of their leave.
  • Global Work Opportunities: With approximately 10 offices across the globe, employees have the ability and flexibility to travel for personal reasons and effectively work out of any of our offices, no questions asked.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

While our employees come from diverse range of backgrounds, they are all unified by key "Smart DNA" elements which include  their ability to be creative, autonomous, and flexible.  Every hiring decision is made by consensus, this means that every new Smartie has been able to demonstrate throughout every interview, that they possess these qualities.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Things at Smart move extremely fast, so we are looking for prospects that think like entrepreneurs and that are looking for a dynamic environment where they will be able to leave their mark very quickly.   In other words, you have to demonstrate that you have the ability to adapt and evolve, that you are passionate about flawless execution, that you can forge strong relationships and that you have the ability to work independently but are also passionate about collaborating with others.  A successful candidate and employee can see the big picture and has the ability to roll up their sleeves and contribute to our overall success.
