We asked Senior Star to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Employee Assistance Program: The EAP is company-sponsored support, resources and information for personal and work-life issues. The EAP is confidential and available to all associates.
  • Employee Relief Fund: The purpose of the EERF is to offer short-term financial assistance to Senior Star associates who encounter an unforeseen financial hardship. This company-funded program acts as a supplement to traditional forms of financial aid. This program is confidential and managed by a 3rd party.
  • Tuition Reimbursement Program: Education Assistance and Tuition Reimbursement encourages associates to obtain additional education or training to increase their competence in their present jobs and to prepare for advancement within the company. This program covers courses related to the employee’s career growth or to develop and fine-tune the skills needed in their current position. Senior Star will reimburse up to $1,500 of eligible expenses per calendar year.
  • Bonus Program - Quarterly Box Score: Front line associates have the ability to earn bonuses through a three tiered structure. It is based upon weekly occupancy and paid quarterly.
  • Bonus Program - NOI Target- Gemini Award: Annual bonus available to all associates based on position and wages earned for the period.
  • Bonus Program - Safety: We promote safety in the workplace through tracking accident free days. Since we began our Safety Program in 2014 we've seen a 12% reduction in reported claims (excluding Ohio who reports through the BWC) and we've paid out to our associates $600,000 in incentive and rewards.
  • Complimentary Uniforms: Uniforms and scrubs are provided by Senior Star to all associates who are required to wear them.
  • Forum: Our annual meeting for management associates takes place in Tulsa, OK where our corporate office is located. We provide team building experiences and bring in groups, like the world renowned Pike Place Fish Mongers, to inspire associates to find purpose in their work in a fun way.
  • Take Five: This program sets the expectation that all of our associates take five minutes a day with a fellow associate or resident to visit with and enjoy learning about each other while spending time together.
  • Starbucks/Wow Bucks/Wingman Bucks: Associates earn "bucks" for excellence in their work and commitment to our company culture. The "bucks" can be redeemed for a variety of things such as gas cards, grocery cards, movies passes or even a half-day off with pay.
