Perks and Programs

We asked Schneider Electric to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Invest in Your Health: We know our employees have a wide range of needs, so we provide you with a wide range of options when it comes to your health. Our Medical and Dental plans cover 100% of your preventative care costs and give you a flex spending account for additional costs with a company match of up to $500. You will also get coverage for Vision as well, which comes with annual exams and coverage for corrective lenses and frames.
  • Time for What’s Important: Draw from a bank of hours to take time off for any reason when you need it. We recognize hard work and dedication through your PTO as well. The longer you stay at Schneider, the more days per year you earn, from 17 days off during your first full year to 27 days off after ten years with the company. Additionally, we offer 11 paid holidays that vary slightly depending upon location and whether you work at a plant that has unique business needs.
  • Business Resource Groups: Our strength lies undeniably in the diversity in our backgrounds and perspectives. As a global company, we can only be our best when we make sure every employee’s voice is heard. To do this, we’ve sponsored Business Resource Groups that seek to empower women, the LGBT community, our military veterans, and many more groups that make up the Schneider network.
  • Family Leave: Work should never keep you away from family. That’s why we offer a global standard for all employees at Schneider Electric. 12 weeks fully paid for primary care-givers as well as 2 weeks fully paid leave for secondary care-givers when your family is growing. We also provide fully paid care leave for elderly or critically ill family members, as well as bereavement leave for immediate family.
  • Planning Your Future: It’s never too early to begin saving for your retirement. When you join our community, you will be automatically enrolled for a 401(k) plan that comes with a company match of up to 6% of your annual pay. Even better, your vesting period starts on day one of employment. Additionally, we have a stock options program for all employees that includes a discount on per-share prices and a large employer match on investments.
  • Referral & Recognition Programs: We’re looking for the most talented people to join our community and we can’t do it alone. Do you know someone who is a good fit? Refer them and we’ll give you a reward in the form of a monetary bonus between $500 - $3,000, depending on the position. We also know how important it is to celebrate the talents of people who already work with us. Through our Global Recognition Program, we shine a spotlight on employees who do exceptional work and go above and beyond in representing our company values.
  • Early Career Hiring Programs: When you join Schneider Electric in powering the future, we invest our global resources in your personal growth, opening doors to development programs, world-class mentors, and opportunities to make a personal impact right away. No matter what stage of your career you’re in, there’s a place for you at Schneider. We provide a platform for professional and personal fulfillment through a high-performance, fun culture. Join collaborative teams and continue to grow your own skillset through a variety of options we provide for your career path. We hire students and recent college graduates into internships, full-time opportunities and the following structured development programs: - Customer Care Center Development Program - Financial Advanced Development Program - Global Supply Chain Advancement Development Program - Leadership Development Program - Power Solutions Advanced Development Program - Sales Development Program
  • Giving Back: We encourage all of our employees to go the extra mile in making a difference in their communities. That’s why we match your charitable gifts, offer grants for organizations, and allow you to enter your volunteer hours to earn matching gift monetary donations. Last year alone we donated over $3.7 million to Habitat for Humanity. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
  • Exciting Workplaces: When you invest in a career with us, we invest our resources in you. Not only do we provide you with health & fitness reimbursements, free flu shots, free annual health evaluations, and tobacco cessation programs, we also make sure we’re providing you with fun and inspiring work places. We believe a career should be more than a place you clock in and out of.
  • Military Pay Differential: At Schneider Electric, we’re building a culture in our US operations that embraces and empowers veterans, and in turn, is enriched by their experience, perspective, and capabilities. To support employees who are members of a uniformed service of the United States during military leave, Schneider Electric will make up the difference between an employee’s regular pay and his or her military pay.
