  • myRyan Flexible Work Environment: myRyan is the Firm's award-winning flexible work program, which allows employees to work where and when they want. Associates can work from home, work in other company offices, or adopt non-traditional work schedules in order to better balance life and work, as long as they meet their goals.
  • Sabbaticals: After five years with the company, exempt employees receive a four-week paid sabbatical, and every fifth year following. Hourly employees receive a four-week paid allowance on the seventh anniversary of their hire date, and every seventh year after that.
  • Paid Volunteer Hours: Employees receive 16 hours of paid time off each year to volunteer for local charities. Employees volunteer in a number of charitable events such as Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House and local food banks in groups by office or team.
  • Parental Benefits: Ryan employees who adopt receive a tax-free, adoption assistance benefit of $5,000. New mothers receive 12 weeks of paid maternity leave and new fathers receive four weeks of paid paternity leave.
  • Tuition Reimbursement: Ryan employees working more than 30 hours a week receive tuition assistance for undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate studies. Employees are eligible for up to $5,250 per year, with a lifetime cap of $21,000.
  • Outreach –RyanSHARES Day: What began as a key component of our 25th Anniversary celebration last year is now an annual event -RyanSHARES Day. Ryan focused on our core value of ‘Generosity---we share our success,’ to serve our communities all over the world. this year Almost 900 Ryan employees across 57 global offices volunteered over 2,800 hours of service and prepared approximately 162,000 meals
  • RyanPRIDE: Our unique peer recognition tool allows co-workers to recognize each other for going above and beyond the call of duty, via a Firm-wide social media styled newsfeed. This recognition translates to points that have a real cash value and can be redeemed for gifts, travel, or gift cards including VISA cards, Macy's, or Amazon.
  • RyanInnovates: Earlier this year, Ryan launched our new RyanInnovates platform. Employees can view and make suggestions on the easy to access online portal. Each suggestion appears on a social media style platform that is visible as a Firm-wide news feed, and employees are encouraged to "like" or "dislike" the suggestion. Ideas that achieve 25 “likes” regardless of “dislikes” are guaranteed to be considered by management and will receive a response.
  • MD Live: Our health insurance provider now offers access to a board-certified doctor 24 hours a day, seven days a week through our MDLive benefit. MDLive doctors will treat a patient for routine ailments such as allergies, sinus infections, pinkeye, and more. In states where permitted, therapists are available for treatment pertaining to anxiety, depression, marital problems, child behavior, and learning concerns. Employees can access a provider via a phone call or through an app.
  • Healthcare Concierge - Compass: Ryan offers employees Compass— a Healthcare concierge service for employees. The concierge provides assistance with navigating benefits, which is particularly helpful in the event of unexpected health changes. The concierge will also assist with locating doctors, making appointments, and reviewing invoices to look for errors.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

Ryan has a core set of competencies that we look for in selecting employees to ensure they will be a great match for our Firm. These characteristics include attention to detail, collaboration and teamwork, drive for results, problem solving, decision-making, communication skills, adaptability, technical competence, self-motivation, accountability, professionalism, and creativity.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

It is extremely beneficial if prospective employees are referred by a current employee of Ryan. Prospective employees should also ensure that they have an up-to-date LinkedIn profile and a high-quality resume. Their profiles and resumes should reflect the level of quality documents that they would normally produce. It is also beneficial if candidates are actively involved in networking within their area of expertise and are involved in conferences. If attending college, we also recommend that they attend our hiring events on select campuses.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We are actively hiring Service Delivery personnel from entry-level consultant roles up to senior consultant roles. We have a unique opportunity for recent college graduates because of the extensive training Ryan makes available for those pursuing a career in tax consulting. In addition, we have opportunities for many of our Corporate Services departments. We also have a dedicated executive recruiting function focused on hiring executive level positions including Principals and Vice Presidents.
