  • RyanInnovates: Ryan's social-media Innovation platform provides employees the ability to make improvement suggestions that can be shared and commented on through an online portal. Each suggestion is visible as a Firm-wide news feed that management and employees alike closely monitor. The open sharing of ideas has generated many improvements that have been implemented as a result.
  • Parental Benefits: Ryan offers a tax-free, adoption assistance benefit of $5,000. Maternity, Paternity, and Adoption benefits include 8 weeks of paid leave. When combined with other benefits, new mothers can be eligible for up to 16 weeks of leave.
  • Paid Volunteer Hours: Every employee has 16 hours of paid time off each year to volunteer for local charities. Employees support many charitable events across the country, including Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House, local food banks, and much more.
  • Tuition Reimbursement: Ryan employees working more than 30 hours a week receive tuition assistance for undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate studies. Employees are eligible for up to $5,250 per year, with a lifetime cap of $21,000.
  • Sabbaticals: After five years of service, exempt employees are entitled to a four-week paid sabbatical, and every fifth year following. Hourly employees earn a four-week paid allowance on the seventh anniversary of their hire date, and every seventh year after that.
  • Outreach –RyanSHARES Day: RyanSHARES Day is an annual event where Ryan employees around the world share their success with local communities in honor of the Firm’s anniversary date. This year, almost 1,000 Ryan employees across 50 global offices volunteered more than 3,000 hours of service and prepared approximately 123,500 meals.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

Ryan has a core set of competencies that we look for in selecting employees to ensure they will be a great match for our Firm. These characteristics include attention to detail, collaboration and teamwork, drive for results, problem-solving, decision-making, communication skills, adaptability, technical competence, self-motivation, accountability, professionalism, and creativity.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

It is extremely beneficial if prospective employees are referred by a current employee of Ryan. Prospective employees should also ensure that they have an up-to-date LinkedIn profile and a high-quality resume. Their profiles and resumes should reflect the level of quality documents that they would normally produce. It is also beneficial if candidates are actively involved in networking within their area of expertise and are involved in conferences. If attending college, we also recommend that they attend our hiring events on select campuses.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We are actively hiring Service Delivery personnel from entry-level consultant roles up to senior consultant roles. We have a unique opportunity for recent college graduates because of the extensive training Ryan makes available for those pursuing a career in tax consulting. In addition, we have opportunities for many of our Corporate Services departments. We also have a dedicated executive recruiting function focused on hiring executive level positions including Principals and Vice Presidents.
