What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

A passion for science and patients, the ability to learn on the fly and deal with ambiguity.  A natural curiosity for figuring things out with a team, and doing whatever it takes, no matter what role or title he/she holds.  Expertise in his/her field, and still the desire and capability to learn new ways and new things.  Thriving on innovation and the spirit of it.  Self motivated, courageous, and at the same time humble.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Be well read and up-to-date on Regeneron before the first phone interview – the history of how we were founded and recent news of what we are doing. (Our website is a great resource!)  Know enough to ask interesting questions, and then be a good listener.  Each interview builds on the next, so it is a learning process for both Regeneron and our candidates.  Be ready to have candid conversations about what challenges you have faced in the past and how you have successfully overcome those with creativity and perseverance.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

Given our continued high growth mode, we are focused on Medical Doctors and Ph.Ds to support our scientific discovery and clinical development, as well as recent college graduates for our career entry positions at our production site in Rensselaer and Limerick.  In particular, we are looking for people with interest and expertise in immune-oncology, genetics, and biotech production.
