Perks and Programs

We asked PubMatic to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Global Rewards & Recognition: PubMatic's multi-level rewards & recognition program is diverse and uses multiple tools and rewards to ensure that our employees feel recognized. Peer-based recognition is given through Reflektive, an online tool that builds cohesion and recognizes the efforts of all team members. We also pay out up to $2500 in spot bonuses, and have a quarterly recognition program which calls out the heroic efforts of our teams by leadership.
  • Knowledge Sharing Program: We produce a Subject Matter Expert series which highlights the expertise of our employees, allowing them to share what they've learned and what they know with others who will benefit or are interested in their knowledge. We also host leadership training series on a monthly basis, focused on topics ranging from delivering feedback to motivating and persuading employees. We also offer a wide range of course, both internal and external, through out online learning platform, PubMatic University.
  • Career Planning & Enablement: We provide all employees with a detailed and easy-to-understand career ladder, which allows them to take their career progression into their own hands. With the help of our career ladders and knowledge sharing program, we have been able to fill open positions through internal promotions in over 50% of cases where more senior positions existed in the past 12 months. We are proud to say that we promote from within and our employees are extremely clear about what is needed to earn that promotion.
  • Performance Management & Collaboration: We promote a culture of continuous feedback, through the use of a robust goal setting policy and key action rollout. We also use Reflektive for quarterly performance check-ins and frequent evaluations of managers. We track employee feedback of managers through a consistent 360 process, the results of which are measured against previous quarter's results and company wide targets. We also use a number of tools to make sure our employees are in constant communication with each other, whether it be Hoopla, Slack, monthly Town Hall meetings hosted by local executives, or quarterly All Hands meetings where we share key information on company performance.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: PubMatic is proud that embracing diversity is such a crucial part of our mission and culture. We are committed to empowering our employees and recruiting a diverse group of talent. In 2016, we increased hiring of women from 28% to 40% globally and increased our representation of under represented minorities by 3%. We are also committed to equal pay and in 2016, reviewed our global compensation practices to ensure equal pay for similar responsibilities and expertise.
  • Wellness & Culture: We are committed to providing a fun and dynamic culture across the globe and offer programs focused on wellness, mindfulness, community services and team bonding. We have monthly cultural events ranging from nights at the museum, cook-offs, paint nites, etc all planned by our local Social Committees. We also offer a rotation of in-office snacks and drinks as well as yoga, massages and games. We focus on community service and encourage our employees to give back once a month during planning outings.
