What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
If an individual is compassionate and believes that people matter to them, a whole heck of a lot – if they are open-minded, respect and embrace diversity and believe that different is awesome – if they believe in the idea of allowing people to be 100% authentic and genuine, and aren’t afraid to express themselves, share their ideas and take risks – if they believe in doing great work, and being proud of the success of each individual and the team as a whole – if they put “We” before “Me” and believe in the power of community, and contributing to something bigger than themselves – and if they believe successful work is about finding the balance of work and play, of mission AND business, AND everything in between, than that individual would be a great fit for our company.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
Great prospective employees are individuals who through previous work experience, volunteer experience or life experience have demonstrated an interest and passion in becoming a member of a unique community. One that shares a commitment to working together to make a positive impact in providing opportunities in the employment, training and education, life enhancement and overall well-being of individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. We Believe in hiring people who think people matter, a whole lot... We believe in hiring people who think different is awesome. We believe in hiring people who like freedom to thrive. We believe in hiring people who do great work. We believe in hiring poeple who are proud of what they do. We believe in hiring people who think 'we' is the password. Last, we believe in hiring people who embrace the 'and'.
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
Knock on wood, we arent expecting any higher level positions to turn over this year.
