What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
During the interview process, we look for characteristics in candidates that align with our cultural values: Integrity, Innovation, Excellence, Urgency, Customers for Life, and who want to build a Great Place to Work. Additionally, we look for employees who are: self-aware, self-disciplined and self-improving. The point is that we look for candidates who take initiative rather than being told what to do. Finally, we're working with a data analytics company to map out the key personality or character traits to build a success profile for each role. We then test our potential candidates against this success profile to understand if they already score consistently with the existing DNA of the people already doing well in that role.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
We like to see prospective employees who are prepared and have done their homework. For example, what do you already know about OneLogin? Have you visited our website (www.onelogin.com), read various articles about us, read our blog, checked our Twitter account, looked at our profile on LinkedIn and Facebook, and looked at our competitors. Don’t forget to check out the profiles of the people who will be interviewing you. If you’ve done all this, you’ll be well prepared. We also love to see creativity in prospective employees as we believe that can translate into the work environment. We like to characterize the OneLogin employee profile as “down to earth.” That is, people who are honest, straightforward, have integrity. People who are team players. Finally, make sure you network. Last year, 40% of our new employees were referred by current employees. So get social!
