Perks and Programs

We asked National Corporate Housing to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Corporate Apartment: Following twelve consecutive months of employment, all associates are eligible to use a corporate apartment anywhere in the U.S., free of charge, for up to four nights.
  • Health And Wellness Program: The Health and Wellness Program was created to enhance employee participation in programs enabling a healthier lifestyle. Annually, all associates are reimbursed for up to $200 worth of items and/or programs to assist with living a healthy lifestyle. Examples include annual flu shots, health club memberships and exercise classes, weight loss programs, activity trackers, and programs designed to help associates quit smoking.
  • Time Management Benefit: National believes all associates deserve a system to help them stay organized so they may be as successful as possible at all times. Associates are reimbursed up to $100 each year to cover the costs of the organization system that works best for them.
  • Associate Referral Program: When an associate recommends a candidate for employment and that candidate is hired, National awards the associate $200. Once the newly hired associate surpasses six months as a National employee, the original employee receives another $200.
  • Take Your Child To School: National will provide paid time off for associates to take their child to school on their first day. We believe education is key and it is important to support our associate as they set their child/children up for success on the first day of school. We believe this time also allows parents to meet their child's teacher(s) and establish a relationship from day one.
  • Bring Your Child To Work: National participates in the Bring Your Sons and Daughters to Work Day organization. It is important for our associates to spend time with their children and show them where they work and what they do on a daily basis.
  • Teledoc: Teledoc is a service that allows associates to consult with a board certified doctor, for free, via the phone or video chat.  The doctor can diagnose the issue and prescribe short term medication if necessary. It's a great perk because associates can use this service from anywhere in the world, at any time of day or night.

    How to Get Hired

We asked National Corporate Housing for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

National considers our associates to be our most valued resource. As a result of this conviction, we look for independent, energetic, motivated, and creative personality traits in all prospective associates. In our experience, successful employees are those who have a passion for innovation, a strong drive to succeed, and a can do, victor mentality. Successful candidates will proactively look for ways to assist their team, and have the ability to wear various ‘hats’ as the situation requires. We believe our hiring success and ability to retain top talent is directly connected to our strategic recruiting approach coupled with our unique hiring process. National utilizes a hiring solution we call Success by Selection. Success by Selection is a unique hiring process designed to select the right candidate for the position based on their individual strengths and work style preference.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

National’s vision states, “We are in the business of passionately creating Exceptional Experiences. We do this by consistently delivering Surprisingly Superior Service worldwide.” One of the most important characteristics of any National employee, no matter the department, role, or title, is compassion; compassion for our guests and employees, and the willingness to provide them with the highest level of service at all times. We look for a multitude of characteristics, including creativity, drive, determination, and motivation, to name a few. However to truly make our vision come to life, we strive to hire a team with the compassion and determination to create an Exceptional Experience for every guest every time.  This includes internal and external guests.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

During the next year, National plans to primarily focus our efforts on expanding our sales team, both for inside and outside sales, domestically and internationally. Successful sales candidates will likely have prior sales experience, specifically in the realms of multi-unit sales and preferably in the hospitality industry. In addition, we will look for candidates with a proven capacity to handle multiple client accounts at a time. To a lesser extent, we will also be looking for candidates for customer service and management positions. These candidates must possess a creative spirit, compassionate demeanor, and the desire to contribute to, and better, the company culture in order to create a great place to work.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?

We encourage interested candidates to visit our website, www.nationalcorporatehousing.com, to learn more about National, who we are, and what we do.  For a full list of job openings, please visit our Careers page.  Should you not see a position that you are qualified for, not to worry.  We welcome resumes at any time; these will be filed for future consideration as new job openings become available.
