Perks and Programs

We asked N2 Publishing to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Flexible/Remote Work: The N2 team is given the opportunity to work flexible hours and/or remotely as often as their position allows. It's common for team members to set their work schedules so they can pick up kids from school, take a midday break at the beach to surf, or work from the comfort of home in sweatpants. The majority of our team members are graphic designers who then work as part of smaller Design groups. Each group works from the office one day per week and from home the other four days.
  • Generous Paid Time Off: All full-time team members enjoy generous paid time off each year: 8 paid holidays, 5 to 15 days of time off to use at their discretion (days vary based on tenure), and a two-week company-wide break to ring in the new year.
  • Lunch & Learns: N2 team members are invited to attend a biweekly in-office lunch program that features a speaker on the topic of personal and/or professional growth. Speakers range from leaders within N2 to leaders within the local community to experts on a certain topic like personal finance or real estate. Those in attendance not only enjoy gaining valuable knowledge on topics that matter to them, but get to fill up on a free catered lunch buffet. Plus, this is considered paid time, so no clocking out for our hourly team members. Past topics have included Cryptocurrency, Healthy At-Home Meals, Home Ownership Benefits, Stress-Management, and more.
  • Fitness and Health: N2 Publishing employs an on-site fitness instructor who is accessible to full-time team members, part-time team members, and interns. He holds two to three group fitness classes each weekday in "Gainzville," our in-office gym. We also partner with a nutritionist who is on-call for our team members and who visits the office on a monthly basis. To further promote healthy living, we offer incentivized health programs, where employees can win fitness gear like clothes or activity trackers for participating in fitness classes and nutrition challenges. Our team members can even receive a discount on their medical premium for getting a Biometric Screening and meeting with the nutritionist as needed – putting more money in their pockets each month!
  • First-Time Home Buyer Program: N2 Publishing announced last year (2017) its putting money where it's mouth is in regards to our passion for team member homeownership. Understanding how difficult it is to save for a down payment while still paying rent – not to mention student loans – N2 leaders decided to help ease the burden. Every N2 team member who gets approved for a mortgage and has never purchased a home will be gifted $7,000 to use towards a down payment through this program. Employees become eligible for this benefit after working with N2 for two years.
  • Team Member Wellness: N2 hosts optional courses on financial wellness led by the executive team as well as experts from the community. Emotional wellness is promoted through access to a licensed counselor, as well as an annual marriage stipend to strengthen personal relationships through counseling and/or couple retreats.
  • Life.Work.Care: The N2 Care team, known as Life.Work.Care., exists to love and care for individuals within the N2 Family, especially in times of need or during a challenging season of life. This team provides motivational weekly calls, prayer and support, and connections to third-party resources when necessary. Whether a team member is faced with divorce, anxiety, or any other personal challenge that can easily affect life both at work and at home, a member of Life.Work.Care. is always available to talk in confidence and offer an understanding ear.
  • Pediatric Services Partnership: N2 Publishing has partnered with a local pediatric office to cover membership costs for employees with children who reside within 30 miles of our office. Through this free-to-employees membership, team members have access to two on-call pediatricians whenever needed. The doctors will even make house calls for the first two months of a baby's life! Services covered by the membership include well-child visits, sick visits, unlimited phone/text/email/video chat consultations, extended/unhurried appointments, physicals, and more.
  • Leadership Program: N2 is committed to promoting leaders from within whenever possible. That's why 95% of our team members in leadership positions today were promoted internally. Because of this, there is a great responsibility to train our team members to be the future leaders of N2. In 2016, we developed an award-winning training program where elected participants are given months-long guidance and training on how to be effective leaders, not only within N2, but for endeavors outside the office as well. This year, we've added multiple course opportunities beyond our general Leadership Development class, so team members can expand their knowledge and skills in topics such as Public Speaking, Situational Leadership, Effective Communication, Leading Without A Title, and more.
  • N2GIVES: Our people work for a greater purpose. To date, more than $5 million of our revenue has gone to fight human trafficking locally, nationally and around the world. Team members know they are not just working to earn a living, but working to make a real difference in the lives of real people -- men, women, and children whose freedom, voice, and body have been taken from them. Our team members, though, not only have the ability to have their work contribute to this worthy cause, but are invited to be a part of the nonprofit selection process. We welcome recommendations from team members on which nonprofits we should support. Additionally, we have an annual Field Day, during which our team can launch items (water balloons in 2016, tomatoes in 2017) in a sling shot at our CEO who, for every hit, donates more money to fight human trafficking.

How to Get Hired

We asked N2 Publishing for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

It's important for each N2 team member to feel like they fit within our culture. To accomplish this, we seek specific characteristics during the interview process. We look for someone who: is self-motivating, self-disciplined, and self-improving; doesn't wait to be told what to do; never feels "that's not my job"; picks up the trash lying on the floor; behaves like an owner; demonstrates loyalty; owns their mistakes; remains humble; is fun to work with; has a strong moral compass; is team-oriented; is emotionally healthy; is trust-worthy; values function over flash; and is a scholarship player with a walk-on approach.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

We're interested in getting to know people in a genuine and authentic way throughout the interview process. Always be yourself. If you're a friendly professional with a strong work ethic, then you will get our attention.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

N2 is growing a lot, and so we're always looking for more awesome people to add to our team. While we hire people from an array of skill sets, we anticipate continued growth on our Technology Team. Many of our positions are entry level, so we're always on the look out for regular people who can do extraordinary things. Another opportunity within the N2 Family is through sales; our sales team members are scattered throughout the U.S., working directly with our communities and advertising partners.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?

Please check us out online! Our website is a great place to start. There, we regularly update our blog, which we would recommend anyone interested should check out. We are also active on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Glassdoor, so don't forget to follow us on those sites and look out for our posts. Anyone interested in applying for positions within the N2 Publishing Home Office in Wilmington, NC should complete the online application at To be considered for an opportunity within the N2 Publishing Sales Team, learn more at
