What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
There are a variety of characteristics that we look for in candidates. We are looking for potential employees who share the same core values as the credit union: passionate about the community, demonstrate honesty and integrity, and understand the value of providing superior service to members and co-workers. Potential candidates are drawn to the credit union because of these guiding principals. They enjoy helping others and display a positive attitude and are eager to learn. Cultivating a diverse workforce is also important to the credit union. Bringing fresh ideas and a new way of thinking is important as we continue to grow as an organization.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
Prospective employees can get our attention by showing genuine interest and passion for the job. It is important for the candidates to be excited about the work that we do and helping members so that we can continue to provide superior service. We are passionate about our mission, core values, and the work we do, so it is important to see this same enthusiasm in candidates. We promote a fun environment, with caring employees who want to give back to the community, take care of our members, and continue to grow and develop.
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
As our membership grows, we will need more resources and employees to continue to provide our members with superior service. Due to this growth we are projected to have 1,000 employees by 2020! Our increasing number of members and employees will allow us to also expand our suite of products, services, and innovative technology. We will need more employees in our Information Technology departments to help develop and stay current with our mobile app and website, as well as more employees to answer member questions over the phone, online, and in person. Our Call Center, eServices, and branches will continue to grow over the course of the next year to help meet these needs. We will continually be looking for individuals who are passionate about helping others and believe in our mission and core values.
