We asked Mondo for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.
What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
Mondo uses the MAP framework: Mentality. Accountability. Process. When we talk to prospective employees, we look for signs that they live their lives, professional and personal, by MAP. Are they keyed in and focused with a postitive "I will win" mentality? Have they demonstrated accountability, and really understand what it means to be self-reflective and a thirst for growth? Do they instinctively appreciate the value of learning from the people around them, adopting our process, yet, "not recreate wheel but refine the wheel" -- This is a really hard industry, you get more no's then yes's from prospects the first 6 months to a year, but you have to keep going and be strong enough to believe in yourself and those around you to perservier and find amazing success at the light at the end of the tunnel.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
Want to stand out from the crowd? Demonstrate committment and tenacity, however you can. We are not as interested in your resume as we are in your ability to prove to us that if we bring you aboard, that you'll be a team player and understand the responsability you have to be a strong pergformer to keep your team rising. that doesn't quit and works hard to get their name in the conversation. Being able to do while maintaining a professional, respectful demeanor? Mondo will want to talk to you. We look for people who have demonstrated leadership experience. Whether that's on a sports team in college for new grads or rising through the ranks at thier company for managers, we want to know if you've taken on the responsibility of being a leader.
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
We are growing in a number of key markets nationwide, so our focus for 2017 will be heavily focused on building out our sales and recruiting teams. Seasoned staffing vets, those totally new to the industry, and those just out of college, we're on the hunt for team members that want to build something great with us!
