What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
When Metal Toad has a tough decision to make, we write our Core Values on the white board as an X-axis, and the scenario solutions on the Y-axis. Our values mean everything to us, and this is what we seek in our new Toads. Come to us with curiosity, respect, helpfulness, and a drive to master the craft of your career. That is all you need to be a great fit.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
Many of the Toads joined us with personal, printed letters. Being raw and vulnerable in this way is how we try to behave everyday, and really stands out during recruitment. Skills and experience are a distant second.
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
Leadership and ethics are more important to us than skill and experience. We are a cutting-edge professional services firm, so the likelihood of any prior skills an employee has becoming irrelevant in six months is very high in our model. For that reason alone, it is values, ethics, and love for others that gets us through the challenges of a growing business as a team.
