  • Leveroo Awards: The Leveroo Awards are the largest recognition program at Lever. Twice a year, employees nominate their peers for a set of five awards that align with Lever's core values. Hundreds of thoughtful nominations are collected, and the winners are celebrated at our company-wide kick-off and earn a cash prize. These awards aim to decentralize recognition across the company and make sure every employee from every function and level has an equal opportunity to have their work and impact celebrated. Award categories include a Veteran Award for those who have been at Lever fewer than 6 months, a leadership award, an award that recognizes someone who champions inclusion & diversity, one for an employee who treats Lever like their own company, and one for a person who exemplifies each one of Lever's company values.
  • Culture Quest: Culture Quest is Lever’s annual all-company retreat that goes back to the earliest days of the company. The entire company will travel to Tahoe, Santa Cruz, or even Maui for 3 days as an opportunity to strengthen our bond and grow as an organization. The time spent together is a mix of social events and open discussions about the state of the business. We set cultural norms and get to know Leveroos who employees may not work with on a daily basis.  The weekend includes fireside storytelling (complete with a bonfire and s'mores), team geocaching scavenger hunts in the redwood forest, karaoke, and the famed Lever Talent Show. It’s a unique experience for the entire company to pause and look at the big picture​ so that every employee remains focused and connected even as we grow quickly.​
  • Leadership Accelerator Program: Lever provides a quarter-long Leadership Accelerator Program to all new leaders either just joining the company or being promoted to a people manager role. The program is a mix of coaching, management skills, mentorship, and focuses on investing in our managers to be people-centric leaders who are equipped to develop and serve their teams.
  • Owning your Growth: Individual & Team Impact Plans: At Lever, we believe each individual should be given the tools and coaching to own their professional and personal development. We invest in an expert coach to work with each team, and train our teams to coach each other to develop growth plans and goals that set our employees up for success at Lever and beyond.
  • Lever Gives Back Week: Lever takes a week where every employee is encouraged to take 8 hours of work time to get involved with our community. We partner with local organizations in our neighborhood to coordinate team-wide volunteer opportunities and encourage Leveroos to find a cause or organization that resonates with them to give their time to. This week serves to introduce Leveroos with local organizations and creates connections with fantastic non-profits that last throughout the year.
  • Flexible Time Off : Lever provides a flexible and unlimited vacation policy. We believe that in order to do your best work, every employee, or “Leveroo” needs to be refreshed and recharged, and that work should compliment a fulfilling life outside of the office. Every employee has the autonomy and freedom to determine their time off. We believe in the flexibility to take long weekends to visit family throughout the year or taking off to travel South East Asia for a few weeks. Our workplace is based on performance and impact rather than hours spent at the office.
  • Employee Resource Groups (ERGs): Lever's commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace has been a truly organic movement. That's why in addition to leadership-driven initiatives, we also cultivate ERGs, which are voluntary, employee-led groups that support, celebrate, and champion historically underrepresented communities. Examples of our active ERGs include Leverettes (for everyone who identifies as female), LeverHues (in support of LGBT employees), and Black Leveroo Coalition, and DAM, the Delegation of Asian Minorities. ERGs host social and educational activities that foster rapport among members and build awareness and empathy at Lever, and also partner with the People and leadership team to make sure company-wide decisions and communications are as inclusive as possible.
