What we do

Perks and Programs

We asked Leanplum to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Culture Buddy Program: Pairing new hires with an existing employee on a different team helps them feel welcomed and included. Buddies meet several times their first month for coffee, lunch and photo ops for our Culture Buddy wall.
  • Weekly Unwind: We connect every Friday at 4pm for our weekly Unwind, allowing employees to socialize and 'unwind' from work. Whether it's going to an arcade for games and drinks to hosting "Italian Night" for a night of pasta making, wine tasting and more, we make time to connect over our highs and lows, relax, and hang out together.
  • Company Retreats: We place an enormous emphasis on building meaningful connections, and what better way to do that than in remote locations. Our past annual retreats have taken us to destinations in Mexico, Lake Tahoe, and Palm Springs, but regardless of where we land, we think it's important to treat our employees to some time out of the office to relax, have fun and most importantly bond with each other.
  • Peer Bonus: As part of our Thank You culture, employees can recognize peers for their contributions by nominating them for a $150 peer bonus for going above and beyond, while highlighting one of our core values they practiced.
  • Celebrating Employees Birthdays and Anniversaries: We love to celebrate our team! Expect lots of balloons, confetti, gifts, fun desk decor and more if you are celebrating a birthday or work anniversary at Leanplum. We also think it's important to celebrate employee life events, from marriage to having children, we love to show our employee that we care!
  • Giving Back: We find time to give back to our community through various volunteering opportunities.  From beach clean ups, canned food drives, or sponsoring families in need for the holidays, we find time to focus on philanthropic causes.

How to Get Hired

We asked Leanplum for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

There are several characteristics we look for in candidates.  First, we look for those we think can lead humbly by selflessly collaborating and promoting shared goals over personal gains.  We look for people that will skip politics and instead show gratitude and recognize the good in others.  We also look for people that will take risks and push innovation, and ultimately getting things done, because we move fast!

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Prospective employees can stand out/get our attention in a variety of ways: from attending our networking events, being proactive and reaching out on Linkedin, to tailoring their cover letter to let us know more about their background and why specifically they feel that they would be a good fit for Leanplum and the role that they are applying to.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We are scaling at a rapid rate, so there are needs throughout every department for the coming year. But we are looking to focus in on and expand our engineering department, across all roles but in particular roles with the title: Software Engineers, Front-End Engineers and Back-End Engineers.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?

Check out our website! We try to give candidates a great overview of our company, product and culture through videos, product demos and more! We post all of our open positions on our website but if you don't see any position we still want to hear from you! Send us a note with your resume and tell us a little bit about yourself and why you are interested in Leanplum!
