What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
We look for alignment with our core values above and beyond anything else:
While skills are important, core values trump skills every time for us. We can teach and develop skills, but grit, integrity and the other values cannot be taught.
We also look for alignment with our mission of helping small businesses grow and scale. When candidates are in tune with or have a connection to our mission, that tells us they will be successful here.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
Candidates get our attention when they are passionate about our mission and can share a personal connection - maybe their family ran a small business, or their first job was in a small business, or their best friend in college started a small business. Finding that connection is key for someone to get our attention.
We also appreciate it when candidates have done their homework about Justworks and prepare relevant questions. When they can go beyond the role and ask questions about the business, that gets out attention in a positive way.
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
We are focused on hiring for Sales, Customer Success, Software Engineering, Operations and Marketing roles.
