Perks and Programs

We asked Jackson Healthcare to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Onsite Clinic & Pharmacy: Jackson Healthcare houses a clinic at its headquarters with an onsite physician, physician assistant and nurse practitioner. Associates and dependents access the clinic for disease management, healthy living coaching, immunizations and sick visits. The pharmacy dispensary carries the top 200 generic medication prescribed to our associate/dependent population for acute and chronic conditions. There is no cost to the associate or their family to use the clinic or fill prescriptions.
  • Onsite Health Club: Jackson Healthcare's health club averaged 1,400 utilizations per month in 2016, 200 per month higher than 2015. With subsidy from Jackson Healthcare, our onsite health club offers 45 fitness classes weekly and state-of-the-art equipment. Fitness software allows members to track progress. Members access health coaches and trainers, biometric and body age screenings, stretch therapy, chiropractic and massage therapy and salon services.
  • Healthy Dining: Jackson Healthcare maintains two cafes for associates, in each of its campus buildings. Dishes are made fresh-to-order with gluten-free and clean-eating options. Food from the café, prepared by an onsite chef, is subsidized by Jackson Healthcare allowing associates to purchase meals at less than drive-through costs. Jackson also maintains a Starbucks coffee and smoothie bar during business hours.
  • Relaxation Areas: Jackson Healthcare's campus includes a stream and koi pond, arcade and nine-hole miniature golf course. The campus also includes a walking trail connecting its two buildings, as well as shuttle services. The company is currently expanding its campus to house a state-of-the-art gym, indoor pool and new full service restaurant for associates, as well as a commons/gathering area.
  • Health Screenings: For 2016, Jackson Healthcare offered associates a health risk assessment participation incentive of $600 in annual insurance premium savings. HRAs are offered when associates first join the company and annually at no cost to the associate. Upon completion, associates and dependents receive analysis of their health-risk factors and meet with our on-site Physician, Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant to work toward being healthier.
  • Onsite Nutrition Counseling: Beginning in 2016, Jackson associates have access to an onsite registered dietician. All associates were offered a free 20-minute nutrition assessment.
  • Onsite Counseling Services: Onsite counseling services were added for Jackson Healthcare associates in 2016. Associates have access to two licensed professional counselors five days a week. These professionals are onsite at Jackson Healthcare one day each week.
  • Community Impact and Service: Our two community impact priorities are access to healthcare and children’s wellbeing. We serve communities around the world through four avenues. One is Associate Volunteerism. We organize abundant opportunities for associate volunteerism to improve the lives of our teams and others we touch, from orphans in China to kids without Holiday gifts. The second avenue is Business Mobilization — leveraging our business resources to solve community needs around the globe. We created Connecting Kids with Care to allow U.S. doctors to treat medically at-risk kids through telemedicine. Our third avenue is Purpose Partnerships, where we partner with organizations like FaithBridge Foster Care and Junior Achievement. Our fourth avenue is Corporate Giving. In addition to giving through Jackson Healthcare Charities, we match funds for associates who donate money and/or time to their favorite causes, helping them gain personal growth and rewards from participating in the Jackson Healthcare outreach culture.
  • L.I.F.E. Program: L.I.F.E., or Learning Independence for Future Employment, is a Fulton County Schools program that Jackson Healthcare partners with to help students with intellectual disabilities transition successfully into the workforce. Teachers and paraprofessionals coach the students, most of whom are 18—22 years old and who have completed their academic requirements. These men and women polish their job skills, learning to interact politely in an office environment, riding the bus, paying attention to details, managing their time, and developing the stamina required by a full-time job.
