We asked Innovative Architects, LLC for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.
What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?
The most important factors for success at Innovative Architects are likeability, willingness to learn and the ability to roll with the punches. We’re often put into situations where clients are in trouble and need us to help them out – an associate who can jump right in, gain the client’s trust, and deliver a successful project means that client will want to work with us again. When we interview, we look for potential employees who are open and friendly, who are open to learning and trying new skills, and who we think will be a great addition to our workplace culture.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
Referrals from existing employees are a large part of how we gain new associates, as well as through technical recruiters. The quickest way to get our attention is to be open and fearless. We have had associates who literally walked in off the street and asked if we were hiring, and since we admire that kind of guts, we gave them a shot. If a prospect comes in for an interview and is able to quickly establish a rapport with the employees hanging around, that’s a great sign for potential success. Candidates should be able to speak clearly, intelligently, and enthusiastically about what they do to make us excited about working with them.
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
We are always looking to hire quality employees, whatever their specialty. In particular, we are looking for .NET Architects, BizTalk developers, Mobile Developers, Technical Project Managers, and Technical Consultants.
