Perks and Programs

We asked Innovative Architects, LLC to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Let's Roll into the Company Meeting: Who says company meetings should be boring? We work to make every meeting fun and informative. For example, we presented our quarterly update to the local rollerskating rink! Employees and their families were treated to free skating and snacks!
  • Not Your Average Office Party: We host a unique holiday party every year and our last event topped them all. We hosted the IA "Snow Ball" and dressed in our 80's prom attire. We even elected a prom king and queen!  This winter we will celebrate the holiday season at the Atlanta Aquarium, dining next to the beluga whales!
  • IA Braves Game: It's a Home Run: Take me out to the ballgame with my co-workers and their families! We had a great time enjoying the Braves game, complete with free tickets and spending money for each family.
  • Holiday "Ugly Sweater" Party: We love the holidays at Innovative Architects and celebrate with a Toys for Tots toy drive and an annual ugly sweater party. With each passing year, the sweaters get more outrageous!
  • Annual Cape Day: We participate in Atlanta's Cape Day each year, to benefit Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. We provide a fundraising aspect (this year, a Halloween pumpkin contest) and enjoy wearing creative capes to work!  We presented CHOA with a check for $2400 this year.
  • Tiara Tuesdays: Oh yes, we love a good reason to wear a tiara (as if you really need a reason). Each Tuesday, we provide tiaras to men and women to celebrate their inner diva!
  • IA@Home Puts Selfies to Work: We have a flexible workplace and people work from all over. To celebrate this unique aspect of our culture, we asked employees to take a selfie in their home office with IA signage. In return for their photo, employees received $25 gift certificates and a free #WorkSomeplaceAwesome t-shirt. You can view the photos on www.worksomeplaceawesome.com.
  • Halloween Spooktacular: We celebrate Halloween with a pumpkin decorating contest, wacky costume contest and free food trucks! Winners receive $100 each to buy their own treats!
  • Operation Brown Bear: We Cheer For Our Families: When we heard one of our teammates had a son who was a starting football player at Brown University, we knew we had to show him we were big fans! IA hosted Operation: Brown Bear and sent over 45 employees and guests to see a Brown University home football game in Providence, Rhode Island!

      How to Get Hired

We asked Innovative Architects, LLC for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

The most important factors for success at Innovative Architects are likeability, willingness to learn and the ability to roll with the punches. We’re often put into situations where clients are in trouble and need us to help them out – an associate who can jump right in, gain the client’s trust, and deliver a successful project means that client will want to work with us again. When we interview, we look for potential employees who are open and friendly, who are open to learning and trying new skills, and who we think will be a great addition to our workplace culture.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Referrals from existing employees are a large part of how we gain new associates, as well as through technical recruiters. The quickest way to get our attention is to be open and fearless. We have had associates who literally walked in off the street and asked if we were hiring, and since we admire that kind of guts, we gave them a shot. If a prospect comes in for an interview and is able to quickly establish a rapport with the employees hanging around, that’s a great sign for potential success. Candidates should be able to speak clearly, intelligently, and enthusiastically about what they do to make us excited about working with them.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We are always looking to hire quality employees, whatever their specialty. In particular, we are looking for .NET Architects, BizTalk developers, Mobile Developers, Technical Project Managers, and Technical Consultants.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?

Interested candidates can visit our Careers page at https://www.innovativearchitects.com/Careers.aspx or send resumes to info@innovativearchitects.com.  To get a realistic picture of our culture, go to http://www.worksomeplaceawesome.com.
