We asked InfoScout to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • InfoScout Academy: Every new employee participates in live InfoScout Academy training sessions, where they learn about the various functions at InfoScout and the industry as a whole. Remote employees are flown to the SF headquarters so they can participate in person. After the first week of training, new hires are split into sales/services or technical training tracks to get additional in-depth training specific to their role.
  • Weekly Wednesday: Every Wednesday, lunch is catered for the office, and followed with an all-hands company meeting. The CEO and leadership team share company news, sales progress, product updates, and announce the employee of the week. All employees, both remote and onsite, are given the chance to share updates and give shout outs to team members.
  • Quarterly Hackathons: Once a quarter, the team spends 2 days working on a hack of their choice. No matter the division, everyone comes together to explore a passion or pursue a new project. The entire company comes together for a hack day presentation, where each person or team has 5 minutes to share their hack. All employees then vote on the winner for best general hack and best engineering hack. Winners receive Amazon gift cards.
  • Sales and Services Offsite: Twice per year, the Sales, Services, Marketing, and Product teams meet up in Chicago for 3 days of education, team alignment, process review, and team bonding. A serious game of Whirly Ball (Sales vs. Services) is always included in the schedule!
  • GONG Announcements: Whether it's for a closed deal, new partnership agreement, or announcing the arrival of a team member's new baby, we always ring the office gong for exciting news. (And make a virtual "GONG" announcement on Slack for our remote employees).

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

Individuals who want to make an impact and aren’t afraid of digging into the details.  Also, individuals who are willing and wanting to wear multiple hats, being exposed to and responsible for a multitude of tasks and functions.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Demonstrate they understand our B2C consumer mobile apps, as well as our revenue generating B2B business.  Candidates that understand how we gather and monetize our data impress our leadership team.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We are focused on building out and improving our SaaS product, so we will be hiring more backend and full stack engineers.  Additionally, we are focused on excellent client delivery, so we will be hiring more client services consultants in the coming year.
