Perks and Programs

We asked Indeed to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Indeed Wellness Program: Indeed has a special program to encourage employee wellness at all life stages in which 57% of our global population participates. Through this initiative, the company offers employees an opportunity to learn more about their current wellness levels and to create customized wellness plans determined by an annual wellbeing assessment. In addition, employees have a chance to participate in fun and competitive online wellness challenges and onsite events while earning points towards incentives. The company also provides complimentary 1:1 phone consultations, as well as community-based coaching webinar programs designed to help employees reach their wellness goals.
  • Indeed Inclusion Resource Groups: Indeed Inclusion Resource Groups are comprised of 10 multicultural, generational, and disability awareness employee-run groups across all Indeed offices. These groups focus on supporting the creation of inclusive products, recruiting diverse talent, educating, raising awareness, and advocating. Our Inclusion Resource Groups have participated in global PRIDE events, cultural celebrations, and in-office roundtables. They also work closely with community organizations for diversity recruiting and giving back to the community.
  • Indeed Ambassadors: The Indeed Ambassadors are a group of influential Indeedians who embody and promote our company's goals and culture. This is a volunteer program that provides Indeed employees internal leadership and networking opportunities as they help raise awareness of Indeed-hosted/sponsored programs, events, and initiatives. All full-time Indeed employees are welcome to apply.
  • GOODdeeds: One of HR’s mission statements is “We care about what you care about” which certainly carries through our philanthropic efforts. Our largest volunteer and charity program is called GOODdeeds, our employee volunteer and charity match platform. Employees can track their hours volunteered at organizations of their choice, and can receive up to $250 in company matching on eligible donations. Employees are encouraged to volunteer through our Dollars for Doers program allowing them to receive $10 per hour towards a charity of their choice for the first 25 hours of volunteer work they log in GOODdeeds. In addition, we recognized and rewarded our top volunteers from Q4 by providing them a $250 credit to donate to their charity of choice at the beginning of the year.
  • Indeed Perks: Indeed provides all employees with a portal where they can access both preloaded global/national perks, as well as Indeed-negotiated local discounts and offers. Employees are also allowed to nominate merchants directly on the site. Some of the top discounts include: Priceline, TrueCar, Apple, Dell and Verizon. Our top type of discounts that employees are most interested in are travel and tech items. The overall estimated cost savings employees have saved are over $136,000 in 2017.
  • Indeed Employee Store: Indeedians can purchase a wide array of Indeed merchandise on the Employee Store by earning store points through tenure, birthdays, performance, and special giveaways. On average, Indeed gifts employees over $22k in recognition points a month. Between April and June 2017, Indeedians redeemed over $60k worth of Indeed swag! Top swag picks for Indeedians include Indeed branded hoodies, beach towels, and bluetooth speakers. The swag starts early on! Indeed provides a special 'Interview Kit' for candidates including a re-usable tote bag, notebook, pen, and coffee tumbler. New hires receive Indeed's official "welcome kit"including: a cinch bag, power bank, and water bottle. They then receive the first day essentials: custom backpack, notebook, and a "I Help People Get Jobs" t-shirt!
  • Global Office Events Calendar: We celebrate many things throughout the year to help keep employees engaged and happy, but there are some annual events that really stand out. Earth Day/Week: help promote sustainability, green practices and our Zero Waste Program. Family Day: show our loved ones where we work and what we do! Summer Picnics: A mid-year outing for employees and their families. Wellness Day/Week: A time to focus on wellbeing and wellness at work. Last but not least, our holiday parties and employee holiday gifts: Celebrate the year’s accomplishments with loved ones and colleagues!
  • Manager and Team Support: Indeed supports managers and their teams from inception through maturity and takes a holistic approach to development. Learning opportunities include classroom workshops, eLearnings, expert and peer-led sessions, on-the-job assignments, and custom team sessions. Development is grounded in a core set of skills: *Understanding and using Insights® to be a better communicator, team member, and leader; *Confidence in giving and receiving anytime feedback; *A strengths-based approach to leading yourself and others; *Increasing emotional intelligence to guide thinking, behavior and decision making.  Every learning opportunity incorporates and builds on these core skills. Indeed's manager development program, The Manager in You, incorporates the above core skills, along with Crucial Conversations® and coaching skills, and learning opportunities are tailored to a manager's level of expertise.
  • The Network: The Network is an employee-driven roundtable discussion on the latest hot topics in business. Held once per quarter, The Network brings employees together to debate, discuss, and share diverse perspectives. The Network creates a forum for all employees, whether in Tokyo, Dublin, Seattle, or New York, to participate in a company-wide discussion on issues that immediately impact their work and Indeed's bottom line. For those leading sessions, The Network offers the opportunity to step into a leadership role, increase exposure, and collaborate with a global team. Past hot topics include: "Embrace Stress for More Success", "Learning from Failure: Adopting a Growth Mindset", "Embracing Change", and "Working in a Global Landscape".
  • Employee Training: Indeed thrives when our employees have the resources and opportunities to succeed. New hires are provided in-classroom training, internal networking events and volunteering activities to gain a strong understanding of our business and culture. We guide our employees with job specific training and resources designed to help them manage their time, communicate efficiently, and collaborate effectively. Indeedians are invited to explore their work style, values, and preferences and to build on those talents. We do this through learning experiences, career pathing platforms, and coaching opportunities shaped by the strengths-based philosophy of management. Indeedians are brought through a talent mapping process to further support their growth. This program provides tailored developmental opportunities that include job rotations, innovations summits and executive education.
