  • Quarterly Team Get-Togethers: With an increasing number of remote employees, we’ve put an emphasis on getting all of our team members together at least once per quarter. During those times, we cover the costs for all remote employees to come into the office, and we plan all-hands meetings, team lunches, and team activities such as our recent employee quiz game, “Who Wants to be a Millionaire: IMPACT Style.”
  • Time Off and Work Flexibility: We provide unlimited time off as well as remote working opportunities to all of our employees. Employees are able to adjust their work schedules as needed, so long as they are meeting their commitments to clients and teams.
  • Company and Team Transparency: Every month, we get the whole team together to review the goals for the quarter, share company updates and financial, and overall get a clear look at where we stand as an organization. Before each of these meetings, we also send out an employee survey asking for honest feedback, so we can address any questions or issues. After one all-hands meeting, our CEO sat in front of the entire agency and candidly answered all 30+ anonymous questions that had been submitted.
  • Team Activities & Theme Days: At IMPACT, we try to have a fair balance between work and play. We often plan out-of-the-box activities and events for our employees to enjoy a break from the day-to-day and get to know each other better. One of our most popular events is Dip Day; an annual cook-off where people make their best dip recipes and compete to win awards. Another memorable event last year was our first team retreat. This full-day out of the office included ropes courses, bowling, billiards, video games, laser tag, and a variety of food and drinks - and people still rave about it!
  • IMPACT Core Awards: Every member of the IMPACT team is unique, but there are 3 very important things we all have in common -- our core values. These values are passion, helpfulness, and dependability and every year, during our holiday party, employees vote to recognize and award three individuals who go above-and-beyond to represent them.
  • Social Responsibility Initiatives: Our company mission is to help people and their organizations succeed. Keeping this in mind, we’ve donated marketing & website design services to several local charities, raised money for charitable causes every year at our holiday party, and incorporated monetary donations into our revamped employee anniversary program. 
  • Unlimited Book Program: As leaders in a rapidly evolving industry, staying on top of industry news and trends is important. We have both physical and digital libraries, making it easy for employees to find the resources they need. At any time, our employees are encouraged to request new books and we’re happy to order them.
  • Women's Leadership Opportunities: There is no shortage of opportunities for women at IMPACT. Females make up 50% of our company’s leadership team, 50% of our executive level positions, and 67% of our management positions.
  • Equal Maternity and Paternity Leave: At IMPACT, our maternity/paternity leave plan consists of 8 weeks of paid time off for new mothers and fathers, giving them time to enjoy this time with their families. After the 8 weeks of paid leave, new parents are encouraged to develop a work-from-home or other desired transition plan with their teams to make it easier to get back into their work routine.
  • Events and Conferences: Each year, we've run a new conference or event to educate the inbound marketing community on cutting-edge techniques that help attendees grow their organizations. In 2016, we held "Brewing Marketing & Sales Success," a 150-person marketing and sales event at a local brewery and this year, we're hosting "IMPACT Live 2017," a 200-person event tailored to marketing and sales leaders.

We asked IMPACT for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

Aside from job-specific skills, we need to believe the person will be a great cultural fit. Part of this means they embody our core values of passion, helpfulness, and dependability, and they have specific experiences that relate to each of them. For instance, volunteer work shows that a person is naturally helpful, and that's certainly something that stands out to us. In addition, someone who focuses on continued education through industry books, blogs, certifications, etc. is clearly passionate about the industry, and that speaks volumes about the kind of employee they'd be. 

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Some things that help a prospective employee stand out are certifications in the field (specifically HubSpot certifications), volunteer work, speaking experience, and having a robust, professional online presence.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

This year, we'll most likely be looking to add more Inbound Marketing Consultants as we continue to grow and build out our client services structure.
