  • IMAX Habitat for Humanity Build Day: Each year, IMAX employees take one day out to come together and help a family in need build the house of their dreams.
  • Wellness Allowance: IMAX provides each full-time employee with $500 per year to use towards increasing their wellness. Employees typically use their allowance to purchase items such as bikes, surfboards, gym memberships, and many other items and services that are wellness-related.
  • Friends and Family Screenings : Employees, along with their friends and family are invited to private screenings of IMAX's blockbuster titles.
  • Achievers Recognition Program: IMAX Achievers is our company-wide recognition program providing employees with the opportunity to recognize and interact with IMAX peers from all over the world. The program is designed as a tool to help recognize and show appreciation for day-to-day support and contribution as well as for efforts and achievements that go beyond to help drive IMAX’s success. Employees that go 'Above and Beyond' are given points -- which can then be traded for items such as gift cards from popular retailers, household goods, jewelry and more!
  • IMAX Cycling Club: The IMAX Cycling Club is a company-sponsored team which encourages employees to get out and ride the local coastline during the monthly lunch-time bike ride. While most of the team brings their own bike to the ride, courtesy IMAX-owned bikes are provided for those that don't have their own.
  • Night Out with the Dodgers: Each summer, IMAX sponsors a night out to watch the Los Angeles Dodger's play baseball. The night includes courtesy transportation to/from the game and a nice dinner at a local restaurant. The evening provides the perfect ambiance to bring everyone together and watch America's favorite pastime.
  • Lunch-A-Month: A delicious lunch and dessert are brought in for everyone to celebrate the birthdays that occurred that month.
  • Global Corporate Challenge: Each year, IMAX partners with Global Corporate Challenge (GCC) to create a challenge where teams compete to get the highest step count before the end of the 100-day challenge. Employees are encouraged to walk, bike, run, and/or swim towards meeting and beating their personal health and fitness goals – all while creating a 'healthy' competition amongst IMAX offices around the globe.
  • The Fun Initiative: The Fun Initiative is a committee of IMAX employees whose initiative is to host monthly fun and exciting activities for the office. The Fun Initiative has played host to activities such as -- bowling nights at the local bowling alley, a day at the horse races, lunch-time screenings of IMAX documentaries, as well as a number of other fun events in and outside of the office.
