Perks and Programs

We asked iD Tech to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Dogfooding and Ride Alongs: Dogfooding gives employees the opportunity to “test” new products and camp courses first-hand. Our Ride Alongs allow employees from one department to experience the life of someone in a different department by following them during key job functions. Examples include listening to a customer service representative walk a client through the registration process or watching the operations department review a summer staff application.
  • Summit in the Sun: When the company reaches its fiscal goals, iD Tech treats employees to a one-week, all-expenses-paid company trip directly following the summer camp season. The Summit in the Sun has been held in the Dominican Republic, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, and Cabo.
  • HoliDays & Half-Day Fridays: Employees are given 10 paid holidays each year, in addition to an extended two-week break in December. Half-day Fridays go into effect in fall, and allow employees to work four hours but get paid for the full eight.
  • Workplace Competitions & Activities: In the past year, iD Tech has hosted company video game tournaments, a corn hole competition, office olympics, and a monthly Minute to Win It game. Most employees participate in dress-up days, which include Ugly Sweater Day, Twin Day, and Superhero Day.
  • Wall of Fame: After working three years at iD Tech, an employee gets his or her portrait hung on the Wall of Fame. After four years with the company, the employee is honored with a list of “I Believe” statements—fun, short sentences from coworkers describing the employee.
  • Yoga Classes: iD Tech offers employees complimentary yoga sessions which are held in the lounge every other week. Other health benefits include a 24/7 onsite fitness center, sponsored fun runs, and a free membership at the Campbell Community Center.
  • Volunteer Initiative: As part of iD Tech’s initiative that each employee will volunteer at least 5 hours in 2016, employees are given frequent opportunities to volunteer within the community during work hours. iD Tech employees have volunteered at Family Giving Tree, Humane Society, Second Harvest, and other nonprofits.
  • Long-Term Financial Planning: iD Tech provides a pre-tax 401(k) contribution plan, matching up to 50 cents on the dollar up to 5% of the employee’s paycheck. Employees can also participate in the company’s employee stock option plan.
  • Employee Scholarships: Every full-time employee is given a camp scholarship worth up to $1,129 for the summer season. Employees can give their scholarship to a friend or relative, or donate it to a child in need.
