Perks and Programs

We asked Homeowners Financial Group USA, LLC to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Employee Appreciation Events: At Homeowners Financial Group (HFG), family comes first and we pride ourselves on maintaining that style of company culture. The company shows their appreciation and rewards employees through company events including softball games, office potlucks, annual Holiday party outings, in-office massages, food trucks, happy hours, theme days, and sporting events such as golf tournaments, baseball games, and basketball games.
  • President’s Club: Each year, HFG recognizes not only the top sales producers, but also employees from the operations side as well. These employees that go above and beyond are treated to an all-inclusive company trip with destinations including Maui, Puerto Vallarta, Coronado, CA, and the Bahamas in 2017.
  • Employee Recognition: HFG takes the time to award employees for doing a great job. Plaques are given out for annual awards including Employee of the Year, Culture Ambassador of the Year, Sales & Operations President’s Club, Top Producer of the Year, Tenure Awards and Branch Awards for Most Production and Highest Growth. HFG also recognizes employees on a personal level. When an employee welcomes a new baby to the family, HFG sends them a "Small Wonders" keepsake box, including a photo album to document the baby's first moments in the world.
  • State of the Union: The annual all-company “State of the Union” event gives employees a sense of where the company is headed and gives them the opportunity to make suggestions on how to improve processes within the company. This event features presentations from HFG’s CEO and President to discuss “where we are and where we are going,” as well as motivational speakers, award presentations from the executives, and activities to foster positive employee engagement. State of the Union also provides a face-to-face meeting opportunity for all employees across the country, as the company provides airfare and lodging to any employee who wants to attend this event.
  • Wellness: HFG promotes wellness among its employees through a variety of different programs and initiatives. There is an annual wellness fair for employees to receive flu shots, biometric screenings and tips for desk exercises. Employees can also take advantage of the Rally Health App through United Healthcare Benefits, where they can log healthy activity, manage exercise, and be eligible for gym membership reimbursement. Preventative screening is extremely important and the company coordinates a MOM van each October for mobile mammogram screening to promote breast cancer awareness month. The company also hosts a nationwide blood drive in partnership with United Blood Services to promote national blood donation month in January.
  • Charitable Initiatives: Homeowners Financial Group has impacted the lives of Arizona families by founding its own nonprofit organization called the Care Fund, which provides mortgage, rent and housing expense relief to Arizona families during their child’s extended health crisis. The Care Fund has granted mortgage or rent assistance to over 425 Arizona families in more than 50 cities, with over $2.0 Million raised. Each year, HFG takes part in a Summer and Holiday charity initiative. In the summer of 2016, employees volunteered to stuff and sort backpacks for schools or charities in need. In the winter of 2016, the Company supported various shelters and organizations throughout the country to donate clothing and other items in need and personally dropped them off at the facilities.
  • Culture Committee: HFG’s Culture Committee was instituted to come up with ways to maintain its award-winning culture. Recent events include a waffle truck for Employee Appreciation Day, customized “Homie” (the name for HFG employees) candy hearts for Valentine’s Day, a St. Patrick’s Day contest with healthy green smoothies provided, branded cakes and cookies for the Company’s 13th birthday, a Cinco de Mayo fiesta complete with pinatas, and more. The Culture Committee also made “Homie” shirts for each state to promote pride and unity.
  • Monthly Newsletter: The Marketing team creates a monthly newsletter with news, events, birthdays and a letter from the President to foster a high level of employee engagement. One unique section is “Homie Hot Shots” where employees give surprise shout-outs to fellow Homies who have gone above and beyond. Each month these entries are published for company-wide recognition.
  • Employee Tenure Program: The Employee Tenure Program is designed to celebrate continued employment with the company on milestone anniversaries of service. Tenure Awards are given to employees that have been with the company five, ten, and now fifteen years, and an online tenure program recognizes those that are celebrating their one, five, ten, and fifteen year anniversary with HFG. They are also invited to a Tenure Dinner and provided an appreciation gift of their choice to thank them for their loyalty.
  • Employee Growth: It is important that our employees continue to grow within the company and receive the tools they need to do so. We have an in-house training department that provides a three day new hire training course for all new employees and a five week course on how the mortgage industry works to new operations staff. Because HFG’s culture and leadership teams are two important aspects of company, the training department requires that all supervisors and managers take part in a leadership training session, which highlights how to best manage employees and how to incorporate HFG’s award winning culture into their department.
