When looking at candidates to join the HFG team, we hire for attitude and train for skill. The single most important quality that a prospective employee could have is their personality and how it fits in with our culture. We like to see people who go above and beyond the call of the duty, with a smile always on their face. The reason HFG has been dubbed one of the “Best Places to Work” for the past 12 years in a row is because of our outstanding employees.
What can prospective employees do to get your attention?
In order for a prospective employee to get our attention, it is important that they show superb communication skills. In our industry, inter-department communication skills are imperative in order to provide excellent service to our customers. We also like to see that a candidate is clear, honest, and direct with every aspect of their work.
Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?
As the company continues to grow, HFG is always looking to hire qualified candidates that fit with the culture. This comprises of all departments in both Sales and Operations, including top level Licensed Mortgage Professionals and experienced Processors, Underwriters, and more. When we have a position open in the company, HFG makes it a point to promote within before looking elsewhere. If we do find the right candidate, we will make sure we find a place for them in the company.
