Perks and Programs

We asked HireVue to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Retirement Contribution Match: Beyond just encouraging our team members to save for retirement, HireVue matches retirement contributions. Here are some details on the program: - Service requirement for employer contributions : Three Months - Vesting schedule: none - Contribution matches: 100% on first 3%, 50% on next 2%. We have a great participation rate and new hires constantly rollover previous 401(k) accounts to our corporate account because of the great returns they receive with our 401(k) plans. The program is available to all full-time team members.
  • Tuition Reimbursement / Educational Assistance: Sometimes formal education is just what you need to take your career to the next level. With our dominating young workforce in the organization, HireVue takes investment in the personal and professional of its team members seriously. Per calendar year, each full-time Vuer (HireVue team member) has a $3,000 budget for educational/ professional development. This program has helped many team members to acquire new degrees/ competences that later opened doors for promotion/ career advancement.
  • Gym Membership Discount: Staying healthy is easily said than done. To help our team members meet their health and wellness goals, HireVue offers gym membership discounts of $20 a month. All we ask for is a record of 8 visits to a gym of preference during any month you request reimbursement. Thanks to this program we have a colleague who was able to lose over 150 pounds in a 12 month period of time. He later wrote a pretty inspiring post on Facebook about his journey and his gratefulness for this program.
  • Lunch Discount: During each work day at HireVue HQ in Salt Lake City, Utah, lunch is available to anyone for $5 from a rotating list of local restaurants. You just need to place your order by 10:30 am MST and pay; then our office Operations Team will deliver lunch by 12 pm MST. This has been a pretty successful program that helped our team members to not worry about driving to places for lunch, especially during snowy winter in Utah! In addition, all too often throughout the week, there is free leftover food in the kitchen from a team meeting. Most teams would bring in catered food for their team meetings; therefore, there is often yummy leftovers in the kitchen for anyone interested.
  • Healthy Snacks: At HieVue, we love food and make sure the office kitchen is fully stocked all time. Twice a month, the Vue Crew takes a trip to COSTCO and bring back a truck full of goodies and healthy food. In the kitchen, we have a Starbucks machine that serves coffee, hot chocolate, and hot water all day long. In the same kitchen, we have soda machine to use at convenience. the kitchen area is definitely a place we take our office visitors to during office tours and candidates are usually sold on the company culture when they see the kitchen area. Who said a well-furnished office kitchen area is not probably one of the best recruiting tools :)

We asked HireVue for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

We have 10 attributes or values we call AttriVutes that are key characteristics we look for in new team members. A few of these are Act Like an Owner, Customer Obsession, Lean Toward Action, Get Results, and Think Big. You can find the full list and descriptions at www.vuenation.com/values.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Apply to an opening and take a video interview to tell us who you are. Come visit our office. Follow us on social media and join our VueNation community.

Are there any unusual or especially rigorous steps of your hiring process that candidates should be aware of?

Each candidate will have the opportunity to take an On-Demand recorded interview. Some people feel camera shy but we celebrate this step as an opportunity for everyone to speak their mind and have a voice. This step allows HireVue to see who you are and not pass you by because your resume that doesn't match the key words described in a position.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We are always looking for great software developers and amazing sales people. We also look for other positions throughout the year to support our customers and to continue to grow our teams.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?
