  • THRIVE@HILTON: In 2017, we introduced Thrive@Hilton — a new initiative focused on enabling Team Members to grow and flourish in Body, Mind and Spirit, including the “Give a Dream, Live a Dream” four week paid sabbatical. Because when our Team Members thrive, so does Hilton!

  • TEAM MEMBER TRAVEL: Go Hilton Team Member Travel Programs offer deep discounts in room rates and food and beverage. In 2017, we will begin offering travel discounts for long-tenured Team Members who choose to leave Hilton.
  • HEART OF HOUSE: As part of creating great environments where our Team Members can thrive, we’re renovating the back of house for Team Members and providing wardrobe options that allow Team Members to dress for success, comfort, and pride.
  • OUR LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK: E3: Our framework enables our Team Members to succeed at all levels. E3 includes Elevate for emerging leaders, Engage for established leaders, and Excel for enterprise leaders.

  • IMPROVED BONUS AND COMPENSATION COMMUNICATIONS: Beginning in 2017, all U.S Team Members will receive an annual total rewards statement. How to Get Hired

We asked Hilton for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

Fit is a two-way street. We seek people who are engaged by our Mission and we hire people who demonstrate that they want to and will live our shared Values and heartfelt culture. The resources, procedures, and tools we have in place ensure that the people we hire share our Values and heartfelt culture, and that it’s a great fit for them and for us. The process also ensures that everyone, regardless of the outcome, experiences The Heart of Hilton throughout the candidate journey.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

We seek Team Members who embody our shared Values and heartfelt culture. Complementing our Values, we also seek Team Members who demonstrate: * Passion: We show passion in the work we are doing individually, as teams, and as a company. * Judgment: We demonstrate the ability to ask the right questions to get the job done. * Collaboration: Extending our Value of Teamwork, we demonstrate a history of collaborative work, not only with our teams, but cross-functionally as well. * Customer Focus: We believe that customer satisfaction should be second nature. * Results: We have the ability to achieve the results desired, as well as the flexibility to adjust the plan to achieve a better result.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We hire almost 60,000 Team Members each year and are searching for candidates to fill our many opportunities across all regions, functions, and position levels. We continue to focus on diversity and veteran populations across these opportunities. We seek to hire people who are engaged in our Mission and have a commitment to creating heartfelt experiences for Guests, meaningful opportunities for Team Members, high value for Owners, and a positive impact in our Communities.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?

First and foremost, our Hilton Careers Website (Jobs.Hilton.com) offers a wealth of resources to help job seekers find the right fit, regardless of location, talent area, brand, property, or corporate office. The site introduces them to our Values, our heartfelt culture, job postings, and other important information.  We invite you to join our Talent Network where candidates can receive company news and job openings specific to them. Also, follow us on social media to learn more about our culture! Check out Facebook for company news and job openings, see our Team Member thoughts on Glassdoor, and view a “Day in the Life” of our Team Members on Instagram and Snapchat!
