We asked Grow Financial Federal Credit Union to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Drops Recognition: The program allows any team member to recognize another team member within the organization for an action in which they are displaying one of the six Guiding Principles. All team members have the ability to submit a DROP (Doing it Right On Purpose) for another team member. All team members are able to view their total number of drops on the employee intranet at any time. An awards program (The GNA’s) is then held quarterly at our Headquarters in Tampa. The awards program spotlights team members with the most drops per category, as well as one overall GNA winner.
  • Text The Execs: Monthly live video broadcast conducted by rotating members of the executive team.
  • Presidents Club: Employee of the year event for each functional area.
  • Personal Days: Team members earn one personal day per quarter for no sick time taken the previous quarter.
  • Shine Cards: Free time, 10 minutes at a time, is awarded to team members for various things. This allows the team member to leave early for the day for extra sun “shine.”
  • Spotlighting Staff: Money has been allocated per team member, per department. This money is used to encourage team members to attain goals, provide above and beyond service, and anything the team decides on. The rewards are determined per department; some have chosen gift certificates while some prefer team lunches.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

If you have a positive attitude, an insatiable appetite to learn, and a dedication to helping people, you will probably be a great fit at Grow.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

We are looking for people who enjoy taking bold action, want to do great work and have fun with their team! Robots who say all the right things need not apply.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

We hire for a lot of store postions.  These positions require a great deal of sales initiative, tact, quick thinking and excellent relationship building skills.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?

You can always check out our social media and get some snippets on the organization.  Really though, grabbing a Grow team member and asking them what they think is probably the best way.  Then find a position that fits you and apply
