Perks and Programs

We asked GoFundMe to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • Gives Back Program: GoFundMe has a monthly “Gives Back”program where employees nominate GoFundMe campaigns that move or inspire them. GoFundMe then selects and donates up to $5,000 to the qualifying campaigns that can make a big difference in someone’s life. This program has been an employee favorite for over five years, and GoFundMe gave back over 2 Million dollars in 2017.
  • Wellness Program: Every employee receives a $600/year wellness allowance that can pay for healthful activities or products, including gym members, athletic equipment, or mind-body treatments. In addition, all GoFundMe employees have convertable standing/sitting desks, and free massages are available at the offices.
  • Women@GoFundMe: Women@GoFundMe aims to build a community and advance the careers of women at GoFundMe through local and global discussions, professional development opportunities and social events.
  • Work & Play: When our employees step away from the computer, we have dedicated game areas with activities such as shuffleboard, bocce ball, ping-pong and pool tables.
  • Collaborative, Inspiring Work Space: The GoFundMe offices are beautifully designed with open and collaborative floor plans. No one sits in an office, and everyone is encouraged to reach out to any team member. Meeting rooms are named after inspiring GoFundMe campaigns, such as “Saving Eliza” and “Ibra’s Power Chair.” To keep teams connected across offices, TVs stream company-wide content ranging from upcoming events, weather, lunch menus, new employees, birthdays and anniversaries.
  • Team-Building Events: Employees enjoy a variety of team events, including company-wide parties like 2017’s Fancy Holiday Party, outdoor summer events, monthly happy hour gatherings, and seasonal events like our Halloween party and costume competitions. In addition to these annual events, the team takes time to give back to communities through volunteering at soup kitchens, coordinated blood drives, and more.
  • Company Volunteering Events: GoFundMe employees love to give back. GoFundMe has a quarterly dedicated budget for volunteering initiatives. Employees have build bikes for under-privileged youth, packaged over 10,000 meals for Rise Against Hunger, volunteered at local farms and distributed care packages and hot food to the homeless.
  • Online Enrichment Courses: Udemy for Business is an online learning platform built for GoFundMe employees that offers hundreds of courses on key soft skills and technical topics such as Leadership, Design, Office Productivity, Programming, Personal Wellbeing and more.
  • Pride@gofundme: Pride@gofundme works to ensure that all employees feel empowered to bring their whole selves to work each day and to build a fully inclusive, welcoming and opportunity-driven environment for LGBTQ+ people and those straight allies that support them.
