Perks and Programs

We asked Framework LLC to share a few programs they feel really capture what's unique about their workplace. Here is what they had to say.

  • NoteWorths: Framework's values are central to who we are individually and collectively, and guide us in delivering outstanding service. Any Framework employee can recognize and thank another for exemplifying a company value through a tool we call NoteWorths, a set of cards representing each of the seven Framework values. An employee selects the appropriate card, writes a note explaining how the recipient demonstrated that value, and presents it at a staff meeting along with a token good for a free taco at our favorite neighborhood tapas restaurant. Framework's Values are: 1. Committed to a better world 2. Reliable and accountable 3. Positive and energetic 4. Collaborative and supportive 5. Pragmatic and value-focused 6. Leading and innovating 7. Always learning and sharing
  • Office Ergonomics: Framework believes all employees should work in a safe and comfortable space where they can perform their best. Our office is equipped with multiple ergonomic tools at every workstation: standing desks to break up long periods of sitting, adjustable chair heights for optimal spinal comfort, dual monitor screens to reduce eyestrain, and sound-cancelling headphones to reduce noise in an open work space. Yoga balls are available as alternate seating. We even designed a "quiet room" into the office plan where our colleagues can take a private call, meditate, take a re-energizing nap or do a downward dog pose.
  • Handcrafted Holiday Gifts: Every year, Framework employees join in making a unique handmade, edible gift to thank our clients and collaborators for their partnership during the year. The process begins by involving the whole team in brainstorming the gift concept. Then we purchase sustainable ingredients and packaging materials and gather for a day of gift crafting and packing that doubles as an energizing team-building exercise. Past gifts have included our own custom blends of aromatic teas, flavored salts from around the world, and decadent, spiced hot cocoa.
  • Employee Growth and Development: Framework encourages employees to reach their full potential and offers growth and development opportunities to support this. This support includes the ability to participate in industry events and training sessions, as well as access to coaching if needed. Employees identify areas of desired growth in their annual goal-setting and over the course of the year submit requests to attend webinars, conferences, or training that are relevant to their development.
  • Financial Fitness: In addition to offering a 401k program to eligible employees upon completion of one year's employment, we provide free-of-charge access to certified financial planners to assist in achieving personal financial goals. The financial planners also visit the office to present on financial planning topics at least once per year.
  • Social Celebrations: Framework hosts social celebratory events throughout the year to show appreciation for our team, increase employee engagement, and simply have fun! To help our employees feel part of the Framework family, we celebrate employees' birthdays, the arrival of a new baby, new hires, and the completion of internships, and also host an annual holiday party. We also occasionally go out together for lunch, cocktails, and summer outings such as hikes or kayak excursions.
  • Working Style Assessments: At the beginning of their employment, Framework employees take the Gallup Strengths Finder and Neethling Brain Instruments (NBI) assessments, which provide insights into a person's thinking and working preferences and styles of communication, interaction, and problem solving. Employees can review their results with Framework's "staff" certified organizational psychologist to understand how to use this information to increase their productivity. The firm's managers also apply it to build effective teams, tailor job responsibilities, and enhance organizational performance.

    How to Get Hired

We asked Framework LLC for some inside information on how to get hired at the organization. Here is what they had to say.

What key characteristics tell you a prospective employee will be a great fit for your company?

Framework's detailed job postings request specific documents and information intended to gauge both professional expertise and personal qualities. Those candidates who take the time to craft a thoughtful response and attend to all of the requested answers and documents demonstrate the attention to detail and sincere interest in working for Framework that earns our careful consideration. Every job post includes the question: "What attracts you to Framework and why would you be a great fit?" Demonstrating a passion for our mission and the ability to play well with others matter just as much as an applicant's technical knowledge. Lastly, a commitment to "freakishly high quality standards," as we refer to our expectations of our work, is an essential quality for every successful applicant.

What can prospective employees do to get your attention?

Prospective employees who submit a thoughtful, strongly written cover letter that offers insight into the applicant as an individual and respond to all questions asked in the job posting tend to stand out as potential "Framers." Demonstrating commitment to meaningful causes, a track record of initiative and success in their work, and an understanding of how their knowledge can advance our mission helps. And, since consulting can be exacting and sometimes stressful despite our best efforts to maintain a healthy work-life balance, having a sense of humor never hurts.

Are there any positions or types of candidates you are particularly focused on hiring in this coming year?

Our positions often require the ability to understand a wide range of stakeholders and cultures, a high degree of emotional intelligence, and astuteness about global and corporate matters. We recognize the importance of diversity and inclusion in both our workplace and on a larger social scale. And we believe that by creating a multicultural, ethnically diverse workplace free from discrimination of race, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, or disability, we contribute to shaping a more equitable world.

What should interested candidates do to find out more and get started?

We encourage applicants to visit our website to learn more about what we do, the clients we serve, and our employees. Framework also has a company page on LinkedIn where interested candidates can read additional editorial pieces published by Framework's thought leaders and apply to open positions. While we don't accept calls from candidates for open positions, we welcome general networking and are always open to meeting potential future employees and accepting résumés for future consideration.
